As others have said 'Maknae' refers to the youngest of a group. But in 2013 RM gave Jungkook the nickname of 'Golden Maknae' because Jungkook can sing, dance, rap, he's good at many things. Back then in 2013 though not many people used that nickname and in a vlog the two of them did together RM told JK to use it more since he came up with it, to which Jungkook nodded and kind of got shy. Which was super adorable. 💜

Hence, RM named him “The Golden Maknae”. Maknae=youngest or baby & tho he’s an adult now, he’ll always be ARMYs & BTS’ baby (FOREVER).
