Amanpreet Pawa All men aged 18-28 in South Korea have to do military service. All the members of BTS will have to complete this soon. Jin is 27 so it is likely that his military service will start very soon.

@Soung Soe to the best of knowledge......this has been declined by their government, and isnt a possibility for Jin. However, it is said that by December, there might be some policy changes which will take place such that he may not have to go. But as of now, Jin will be going to the military
