Fun Fact: GCF in Tokyo is Jungkook’s first ever GCF with Jimin as his actor/model. Jungkook arranged and bought two tickets for a trip in Tokyo as a gift for Jimin’s 23rd birthday. jungkook said that this wasn’t part of his work. he said he had nothing particular to film during those days. when he went to tokyo with jimin, it wasn’t work so he said he just did what he wanted to do because when it’s work there are things he cant do. jungkook did all the videography and editing himself. even chose the song “There For You” by Troye Sivan himself. he said he really had fun making and editing the video. namjoon even said he saw jungkook at the studio at 3am editing the GCF and was amazed by how hardworking he is. jungkook was very very proud of the outcome and he was happy that armys like it. also, jimin didn’t know that jungkook was gonna upload this as a whole edited video so jimin said he should’ve dressed nicely and acted decently in the videos and didn’t goof around acting all weird and dorky. but that just means jimin was just being himself in the video. I have been looking forward to this reaction :) I love Jungkook's GCF's a LOT. He's very talented. He shows us the world through his eyes, and that's beautiful. His very first one, GCF Tokyo, is definitely one of my favourites. It's great that you go through them in order. Update: I just watched your reaction and it made me like you even more. I have been subscribed since "Who". I don't comment often, but I have to say that your sincerity, thoughtfullness, energy and enthousiasm is something else. You stay authentic. I love how you genuinely appreciate the effort JK put in this GCF and that you get that he uses videomaking and editing to tell a story. This GCF obviously tells a tale about this trip which you picked up on. I would like to provide some context. JK has always been drawn to the camera. Many times you see him playing around with cameras of the staff, as early as 2013 even. When asked last year in Entertainment Weekly how he got into directing, JK answered that he used to take still pictures. He said that with still images, people have to look at it and then translate what they're looking at. According to him, videos on the other hand are moving so people can translate what the video is right away. To paint a picture of this first GCF, you have to know that it was for both Jimin and Jungkook their very first trip ever abroad without staff or outside work. Because the fandom is pretty big, there is occasionally misinformation. Therefore I will only use facts and direct quotes from them. None of the members had had much opportunities to travel since debuting at that time. They had little time off then. While they did tour the world, they often didn't have that much chances to explore. BTS were all on a brief break during Oktober 2017. JM and JK planned this particular trip one month beforehand. According to JM, Jungkook fixed the plane tickets. Their families accompanied them both until check-in at the airport in their shared hometown, Busan (where they haven't lived since pre-debut). Three days later they returned. "GCF in Tokyo" was edited in the span of a little more than one week after their trip which is impressive to me. RM shared in a behind the scenes clip that he once heard a noise in JK's Golden Closet Studio at 3AM during that week. He opened the door, assuming that JK was working on music, only to find him blasting "There for you" while looking at a big screen where Jimin was making a funny face. JK shared during a live his go-to editing tutorials on KZbin. It's something he's passionate about and puts much time and energy into. I'm proud of his work. Right after their trip, JM said that there was a feeling of freedom. I guess that's one of the main reasons why they both often brought up the trip over the years and fondly look back on it. Jimin mentioned that they match well and that they had a lot of fun. They went shopping, walked around, went to Disneyland and hadn't really any fixed plans. Jungkook said that he just did what he wanted to do since it wasn't work. A funny anecdote is that they dressed up and participated in a Halloween parade. People took pics of their costumes according to Jimin and nobody recognized them. On a little side note, Japanese armys were very respectful of their personal space and understood their want of privacy during their time off. In an interview it was mentioned how they were treated with kindness when asking for directions or when they had to refuse to sign autographs since they were off work. That's why you see them able to eat in a full restaurant in the GCF or walking on the streets without being bothered. A handful of people still took pictures from afar so I get that being anonymous while wearing masks probably was freeing to them. Not all armys know this, but Jimin made two simple vlogs too and uploaded them on Twitter before GCF came out. Jimin's short vlogs show them playing darts and having fun in Tokyo. When JK posted his GCF, Jimin responded that he would have dressed better and acted less silly if he knew JK would make a GCF out of it. Even for people who know nothing about filmmaking, his GCF's are still a treat to watch because they show glimpses of JK's point of view. To show how they rarely have the chance to travel outside work: only this past summer Jimin travelled for the second time abroad in his free time. BTS had for the first time since debut a month long break, so he went with different friends to three different countries. He still made it back in time to buy JK a cake and celebrate Jungkook's first birthday since debut NOT working with Hobi, which is besides the point but wholesome nonetheless. JK has yet to travel outside Korea without staff/outside work after their Tokyo trip. Jimin has mentioned wanting to take him on another trip, so they might do that in the future. Last summer, there was a kind of reversed GCF released. It was a second Euphoria MV (with a piano version) that only showed footage of Jungkook collected from the other members' phones: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYbUiWhrhM6gbJo. It contained clips of him goofing around during practises, during shoots, playing with for example Jin backstage, laughing with JM while on their way to the cinema to see Advengers Endgame, etc. Aside from Jungkook, other members have also shown interest in photography. Tae posts a lot of beautiful pictures under the name "Vante", and Yoongi also used to be very much into photography. Korean Armys gave Jimin even the nickname "Memory Squirrel" because he used to take thousands of polaroid pictures over the years to collect. Ocassionally he shares them. Jimin is like that friend you mentioned you have that takes his camera with him to develop pics later. P.S.: They have a show "Bon Voyage" where they travel each year as a group with some staff where the main goal is not working and having fun experiences. There are four seasons (2016-2019). Outside of these travels, none of the members have travelled with each other abroad yet (aside from the Tokyo trip). However, there is countless footage out there of them expressing their wish to travel together, either with everyone or a particular member, in their free time. They just haven't gotten around to it. Especially Tae and Jimin have mentioned multiple times over the years they want to go to Japan or any other country. I hope they all get the chance to. Hope you are healthy as well! As you can see these two went in Tokyo together (without staff or other members) for Jimin's birthday, and jungkook recorded it. Like others said Jungkook filmed this when he and Jimin went to Tokyo for Jimins Birthday. Jimin was unaware that Jungkook was going to post this so this is the Jimin that Jungkook sees normally and he wasn't playing up for the camera at all. If you also notice that Jimin the majority of the time never looks into the camera and is always looking at Jungkook behind the camera. They are just the most adorable duo. Jimin also made his own little twitter video of their trip, its on youtube too, its only just over a minute long but its so cute seeing Jimins little video he made which includes moments that Jungkook didn't show, and then fact he didn't even know Jungkook would be posting this and then a couple days later he did.

The G.C.Fs that JK creates speak volumes and keep in mind that JK does everything with a purpose and intention. So even the music selections are chosen with specific intentions as our boys are always about the lyrics and not just the music itself. This Tokyo trip is very special to both Jimin & JK - specifically Jimin because it was his birthday gift. Jimin ever mentioned in an interview that his wish was to go to Disneyland and JK fulfilled his wish and even paid for everything on this trip. When they came back, both of them could not stop talking about the trip during interviews and lives. Super adorable~ :D JK is a very very very talented man and the following G.C.Fs after this just gets better and better too!

Hey Sammy, really love your reactions man! I believe the camera Jungkook was using is the Sony a7s iii, my dream camera. It’s sick in low light and is a videographers dream! You were wondering about whether he gets help, just a note you may see him once or twice here and there in his own videos and this is because on the rare occasion he does get someone to help film him. In his GCFs, it's like Jungkook's taken his musicality from his dancing and applied it to his editing. When you see the other films you'll see even more how impressive his editing to the music is. He says he learned from watching KZbin videos on editing & video making, but part of me believes he really just has an innate talent for video storytelling. :) Thanks for the reaction Sammy and hope you can check out the other GCFs in order too!
