7:10, I noticed during this portion of the season's greeting that JK was mostly quiet when the other members were talking but when it came to Tae's turn he was very animated. He talked a lot and helped Tae answer some of the questions or elaborate his answers. Tae's hand on JK's thigh was just something else. I can understand wanting to play with the rips of JK's jeans, but sometimes Tae was just running his hand up and down JK's thighs. You don't do that if you're just friends. Also JK was very touchy which was really nice to see ❤

BTS is a billion-dollar-plus enterprise. Jk and V's contributions to the success of that enterprise surely rival that of everybody else. One could pretty well conclude the success of BTS would be greatly diminished without either one of them. It seems about time for Big-Hit directors and staff and Jk and V also to start better appreciating that fact. JK and V need to stand up and make it clear that expressing their affection for each other, within reason, will no longer be frowned upon, discouraged or hidden from the camera's eye.

Unfortunately, it's not solely an issue on Bighit's part moreover the whole of Korea. Korea is not as open to relationships of the same gender as countries in the west. They are becoming more open with the income of newer generations and connections to the west through the internet/sharing of cultures. If, say a gay couple came out in Korea, almost certainly they would get masses of hate, possibly even their careers being halted(though I'm unsure as to what damage it would do to anyone in BTS's career as they have millions of ARMY already. But may get cut from shows ect though that would probably make the show's ratings go down making that a bad idea. There's so many factors that would come in to it.) If you look at the soloist Holland, he has been openly gay from the beginning of his career, and even before which meant that no company would sign him but he did manage to create his own music and gather a, i wouldn't say small but also not massive, fandom. On the other hand, we see couples like Hyuna and Edawn getting kicked out if their company for being in a straight relationship, imagine coming out as both in a relationship and gay at once in a country as unaccepting as Korea is. Personally, i don't see why they should have to hide it, if the relationship is indeed true(this goes for any relationship, not just Vkook). But, i do think, for their career's sake, it's best to keep it away from the public eye. If i were them, i most certainly wouldn't want people, whom i don't know, to know everything about my love life and possibly get hate from it/lose fans ect.

I'm somewhat familiar with displays of affection within the ranks of Kpop and have noticed JK and V's expressions are pretty tame in comparison. Big-Hit, however, seems to be a bit more strict than other labels even to the point of not allowing their male members to go shirtless while in a swimming pool or presenting it as a big deal by allowing a performer to raise his shirt and showing an instant visual of abs during a performance with the exception of one of Jimin's performances some years ago. I hope you don't think JK's arms around V's neck from behind as depicted in the video constitute some extreme act affronting Korean culture. If that be the case, several other K-pop groups would have been banned a long time ago.

@@ewill6365 no no, i completely see where you come from where bighit is very strict with things. However, this could be a matter where the boys themselves have said they are not comfortable with things like taking their shirts off. I remember in a few interviews, Jimin said he had become conscious of keeping his figure more "manly" because of when he removed his shirt and got all those fans commenting about how good his abs look ect and that it made him push himself further. They most likely would not want that to happen again. And if you had read my comment i kept stating that my view point was if a gay couple came out and were being affectionate towards eachother(again, not necessarily taekook, or members in BTS for that matter). As you most likely know, asian countries are more open to skinship between the same gender, as we can see with the touching of thighs and lack of personal space. However, with Taekook, bighit seems to limit that. Which makes it even more curious. Like, if you accidentally touch someone's leg, you aren't gonna care about hiding it/even notice. But if you're touching someone's leg, because, say, you want to touch them, but aren't allowed because of the strictness in the culture, you're gonna be abit more on the down low about it, which in some cases can make it even more obvious. It's like they're trying too hard. This could be one of the reasons for the director, if that is what happened, to have told jungkook to stop putting his arm around taehyung.

Sadly, the issue isn't within Bighit disapproving the relationship, they don't actually have a no dating policy unlike other companies. Most companies don't actually disapprove of the idols dating because they don't like it, but it's the media and the general public (netizens) reactions. Hetero idol couples who get revealed, 9/10 of them all ended up badly or broke up after a while unless they do stand up (like Hyuna and edawn), but if a same sex couple comes out - this will be the first in kpop history for a korean idols to come out publicly & some people say since Taekook are so popular and many people ship them, many people will support them. But that's not the case, you might say some of the younger generations are starting to slowly accept it better. But without a doubt, it's not common to see or hear about actual same sex couple every day (shipping is different to a reality) and will take some time for them to absorb in this news, it's not to say they are homophobic, but more so they don't understand it as much as those who grew up in Western countries. Of course there are same sex couples in Korea & I'm sure there are people who will support them (any same sex couple and Taekook) too, but looking at the situation right now this is leaning more towards the minority. Part of bighit may be separating them for their 'image' and face a disband if the media finds out and releases this to the general public. But more so I don't think Tae & JK or any of the members actually want to disband (since they have mentioned they thought about it before), and they (Taekook) want to protect any backlash towards not only them, but all of the BTS members, TXT, Bighit staff who have been with them for years and also their own family too. I can only imagine, most people if backlashing would be aimed towards their parents (known from personal experience that Orientals coming out = first thing they usually say is 'your parents would be ashamed raising you until now') and I can't bear to watch people will say that about them. Although, I do want them to be free and happy, and I really hope as time goes on in a few more years, people's perspectives in Korea (and other Asian countries) will change and become more understanding of same sex couples and only when that happens, I will be happy for them to come out in public and I think bighit will think the same. Otherwise, they will continue minimizing as much touches as possible, with the occasional showcases so people don't suspect them hiding things as much which is why we have seen some bangtan bombs and videos with them interacting more, because they know cutting them out completely made them more suspicious.

Unfortunately there is a lot of ignorance and fear (believing that homosexuality is almost a contagious disease or that by being homosexual you will be interested in all the people of your gender) on the other hand there has been a lot of influence of religious institutions of all kinds than me They seem to have only served to confuse and divide humanity because each one of them feels the owner of the absolute truth and the saddest thing is that there are many cases in which those who lead or hold important positions in these institutions commit truly perverse acts. To catalog a person who loves genuinely and honestly as a sinner is to show that you are really far from spirituality. Leaving aside what you really are and want only leads to reproduce an endless number of cases that seem particularly sad to me by people who just follow the rules that govern the society in which they live and for fear of creating excluded and even to die (depending on the country) they end up leading a double life by marrying someone of the other gender and having children while on the other hand they maintain an extramarital relationship with the person they really love and thus create the vicious circle of societies absolutely Hypocrites who only live to pretend what they consider a "normal" life but are nothing but pathetic masks. You have to ask yourself, what has more value? Have a father and a mother who do not love each other or parents (regardless of gender) who really form a united, loving and solid family? Evil is only found in lies and selfishness. The day we learn to truly love ourselves, recognizing and accepting who we are, knowing that truly loving means being happy when the other is happy, and that we all have the right to love and be loved we will be in real tune with our Creator and the universe. In my country it is said that (it is never too late when happiness is good). I think that regardless of whether it is your sexual orientation, your vocation or your personality, for some this world can become a repressive machine where showing all our colors to say it is somehow wrong and depending on the country in which you are born or you develop you are made to believe that you must adapt and behave like the rest as if we were a kind of robots to be able to fit and be "normal".
