No matter what man builds, nature will reclaim without constant human intervention. Amazing. Yea camping out there would be quite interesting to see what comes out at night, animal, humans or ghosts? Maybe some old timers will have the oral history of the place. Great content.

My thoughts exactly! Nature has swallowed up the evil of that place, and is returning it to itself Im sure the slaves who toiled there thought the suffering would last forever- but even the greatest evils and vanity pass into dust

The estate became defunct about 1836, record shows last owner as Robert Cargill believed to be the same owner of Cargill estate near Richmond estate what is now Richmond Park near Halfway Tree. Actually we camped nearby on Mokko’s accounts of rolling calves presence but saw nor heard anything of the sort. Plenty of mosquitoes, but nothing deet couldn’t handle. It would be interesting to find the waterwheel as depicted in drawing from that era. That was planned for another exploration. But we return to a good mountain bike run soon. It would good to see mokko after all these years.

Great Vlog Matthew! I believe there's gems in rock form near that river spring. The river spits them out during heavy rainfall. The Ladyfield Great House ruin is the most prominent relic of the coffee estate which once stood on the foothills of the Blue Mountains. This two-storey, large-cut-stone structure is estimated to date between the late 1700s and the early 1800s. The house has two wings; the larger northern and the smaller southern quarters. These two sections are joined by an arch and a staircase leading to the first floor.
