JP fishing is the the most enjoyable type of fishing. I have fished most creeks from Cardwell to the Daintree . My best fish was a 52 cm in a little creek that drains Mount Bartle Frer. I fished in the 70s & 80s - making my own lures. Great Video fellas.

Ive bumped into Tim plenty of times both when my brother and I are fishing up in Tinaroo and when go and play golf. He is an absolute legend! Awesome cinematography and editing in this video team! You should be very proud! I wish I could be back up north fishing for these little jems not stuck with University in Brisbane!

Sooty Slayer hey have a gander in google earth for freshwater streams that run up into the mountains of far North Queensland. You’ll find em at the top of the deeper pools especially below small waterfalls 🤙🏾

These little bastards are smart, it used to take me weeks to catch one when I lived in Okinawa. If it even saw a hint of a shadow, it was gone! The locals, old guys would wear a kind of leaf type cover just to fish off the bank without being seen and they’d stay still all day because this fish is so cowardly. I don’t miss fishing for this species at all. Good job though!
