I only use American buttercream. It’s a crusting buttercream and works with fondant quite well

Yup, you can make them whenever you like, and let them air dry. You'll want them to firm yup. And if you mean the back of the letters, I just use a tiny bit of water as glue to help them stick

@@TheRobynsNest sirry my question was not clear. It was on top of the letters. Where you make them shiny. And do we need to keep our animal fondants in air tight container in the fridge?

@@noorhafizah8841 that was a mixture of brown gel food color and water to add depth to the wood grain. And no, you do not have to have them airtight. You want them to dry out. Fondant hates the fridge, the cold will make it sweat. I find keeping them in a small cardboard box is best.
