Using wards or early invades you can still figure out which side the enemy started.

You're right,in low elo however some people still leash,but if not it's ideal to ward enemy buff now, every game

some of my gold friends still insist on getting a leash and em/dia laners will still leash 50% of the time if you dont tell them to leave. i would much rather have my laners get prio then me saving 2 seconds on a clear
