I learned from Naayil that it's best to orient Q2 sideways and try to hit the opponent with the corner of the hitbox. This gives you significantly longer range. It's also best to hold onto W until right before your Q1 or Q2 connects so it's almost guaranteed to land when the opponent is knocked up and unable to dodge.

The crazy thing about profane hydra being good with Aatrox is that its active works with Aatrox build. It's like having an extra Q hit without having to land a sweespot, while also provides healing since it's another Q.

Great followup game 1 by other lanes taking dragon at 17:27. Game 1 team just did a fantastic job with maintaining pressure on other side of map. The one time Pekin showed up to a teamfight, Nocturne ult was up as he went in and likely let him start combo on an unaware Lulu. It's kinda funny how little impression it left on Pekin, but if they failed at pressure it would have been noticeable.

Feels like you held onto your ultimate more than you needed too. I feel like most Aatrox's ultimate towards the beginning of any fight because of all the bonuses it gives, the most important one being the move speed so you can chase or reposition. Besides that I think most Aatrox's that I have watched (Naayil, Zeus, etc) build Profane Hydra into Eclipse and rarely do they build Sundered Sky. They seem to spam lethality/damage so you can basically just 1 shot rather than build very bruiser-y. Though idrk. Nice games. It is fun to see people play Aatrox.

Well, I think it's because they know the champion more than pekin, so that they know that if they pop his ult right there, they can get a kill and win the fight. Meanwhile, pekin only pop his ult when the enemy is chunked and he is sure that he can win the fight. It's just my opinion and I might be wrong. But I agree that most aatrox player pop ult either in the beginning of any fight or to bait enemy into thinking they can kill a low health aatrox. In the end, pekin did a good job of creating advantage through cs lead and better overall macro despite not playing a lot of toplane.

More aatrox. The best thing ive seen you carry with. That jhin was awful the second game. Just poor choices that caused him to tilt and fall behind. Things like trying to pressure a lost lane without prio. Leona needed to ward for the first dragon and instead of walking with her and insuring she was safe he turned back and tried to fight a 2v1. This was after he died multiple times trying to fight a lost cause. In the end his decisions costed you the game

@@Chinhoyin I think that’s a balancing problem not so much yone is a counter pick to Aatrox. Around those times Aatrox was heavily nerfed both by items first, then by kit changes and items. Whereas yone is almost exclusively getting item and kit buffs for like 3 years compounding. Conceptually the matchup should be about 75-25 in favor of Aatrox. Balancing and individual skill can equalize or negate that.
