Sudha is studying in ..... Canadian university. Here "a" as well as "the" can be used . Case 1 if Canadian means any university that belongs to Canada then we will use the. Case 2 if the name of the university is " Cannadian university". eg Sudha is studying in the Hindu university. Here Hindu university is name of a particular university. It doesnt mean any university belonging to Hindus. Similarly Canadian university can be name of a particular univerity. It is the article "the" or "a" which lets us diffrentiate wether its the name of a particular university or its any university belonging to Canada. So both "a" and "the" can be used
