I’m sick and tired of this whole view that Armenia is ‘too adult to junior Eurovision’. Maléna is 14 years old and I know that this is the sort of music teenagers listen to, junior Eurovision isn’t for happy clappy cringe songs it’s for young artists to develop their music based on their taste. This is malénas taste, it’s her song and she’s 14. There is nothing adult about this

I think it's more of that there's a line between what a JESC song sounds like versus what it should sound like and a lot of songs in recent years have kind of trying to straddle and push the boundaries. Sometimes it's just easy to forget that the junior contest allows teens 14 years old and below to compete and the adult one allows teens above 16 so there's always gonna be that overlap of the musical inclinations the older brackets have that may sound like it could pass for the older contest.
