Love to see this I’m a first gen hunter grew up without a father raised by my grandmother, I’m just now taking up waterfowl hunting at age 26 , something I’ve wanted to do since age 7 and I’m addicted!! can’t wait until my daughter is old enough to go with me.

Was a good one for me too man. Saturday 3 mallard, pintail, 2 wigeon finished off with a drake euro for an all drake limit. Bunch of stinky snows and some specks too. Happy hunting!

@@Refugerunners you name it, we’ve done it. We do sausage and jerky with our less table-worthy birds. We always let them sit in milk over night before cooking, salt water can make them salty. Look up recipes, always the best bet

First Awesome video good birds! I went to banos blind #4 limited and day 2 went to salt slough 13.2 got a bull sprig and my sister got a bull can!

i drew salt slough for the opener in 2 weeks. if your juniors need a spot to hunt, I have room. I hunt Sac valley more, and my son has a soccer game so there is room if they need a place to hunt. Great video too!

Thanks my friend, We will be at the same check station because my son drew a #3 at Gadwall unit. I will say this there are loads of birds in the grasslands. It might be one of the best Cali openers ever. If you see us stop and say hi!!

Yo this is awesome. I’m 26 and help manage a spot. These boys are blessed to have someone that 1. Knows how to get after birds but 2. Knows good ethics like not Sky busting, chasing down birds, and sticking around if hunt slows down. Hmu if you want to hunt the bay !

Well that sounds like you had an awesome weekend too. Our second day we hunted Colusa and we didn’t shoot as many birds but we did end up sticking one with a wad I will put that video up soon

one thing I learnt very early when hunting in water and that is never run . It's so easy to fall and hurt yourself or your hunting buddies.

Yes, we get a laugh at Jacobs waddle when he runs to get the birds but you are totally right!! We have since gotten a retriever, so we arent mud running anymore. Thanks for the view and the comment my friend!!
