Tina, PLEASE quit comparing yourself and your style to others. We keep coming back to you, and you are growing very quickly for several reasons. First you are incredibly talented. Secondly, you don’t edit your videos. We get to watch the process as you actually do it, whether it turns out amazing or not, AND because you are genuine....real.... just like us. You make mistakes and that’s ok. We find ways to fix them. And this is HUGE....you don’t have every piece planned out from start to finish and only have the things showing that you replanned to use. We love that you just grab something and make it work. BE YOU! YOU ARE THE PERFECT YOU! We love you the way YOU are not the way you think that we think you should be.

I am in the process of moving my stuff from my desk at work (long story, ha) to home. I have a studio set up now, and I have been sorting thru all my stuff on the desk and saving them for future use. I love working with what is in front of me! Pushes my creativity, just like it just did for you! love the envelope the best... I have been on an envelope kick lately anyway! Thanks for the inspiration and confirmation that a messy desk is the sign of a very creative mind!

This is a great series! I'm always amazed at what you pull out of your desk to use--it's like the desk provides you with the perfect piece--like magic! I have to clean my desk frequently because it's not that large but also to save my precious papers from the dog who just loves to shred them! Now my cleaning really just involves stuffing everything in some bins that I can hide from the dog. So my desk may look clean, but the bins are just filled with bits and pieces. So I just hide my mess a little better than you, but then again I can never find the perfect piece to complete a project from one of my bins like you do. So your system works for you and that's what matters. Have a great day!💕😊

Hi Tina. Fun series. I know I’m going to enjoy seeing you ad-lib great things from your desk ephemera mountain (LOL). I’ve reorganized my room a zillion times and I’ve decided there is no perfect way to organize for junk journaling. However in my latest iteration, I have included a big tray for "go backs" - things that need to be re-filed or put away. This way after finishing a session of crafting I put all the leftover materials in the tray for the rare day when I have time and energy to put them away! Of course the tray is now overflowing, but at least the junk is out of my workspace! 🤣🤗

You should do a 7 day clean up your desk series. Put papers in a stack, dabric in a pile, lace in a pile, book pages in a pile, embellishments in a pile, etc. Categorize your stuff in boxes. bags, baskets, etc. That way your stuff will look less junky.

How do you eat an elephant?... One bite at a time. I have to pull out my scraps e everytime. The problem is that I don't have big pieces of paper to start with. I need to punch more of the Martha Stewart butterflies with my scraps. I like the buff color ones and will be making those. I have been working on paperclips so I have lots now. I am working on stitched tags for a while. Then I plan to make cards. I just keep building my stash. First stack all the paper by size then you could use the big papers to make the journal pages. If you have too many they can be just naked plain journals. Include with them pieces that you make and small bits and bob's. You would be surprised how everyone would want them like that. Start with the BIG items ... I'm excited to see your desk at the end❤❤❤

Tina, you are too funny.... “7 days and 7 things will be gone from my desk...”. No those 7 things have become 25-50 smaller things....lol 😂😂🤣. We all know that if you get rid of stuff then at least 2 things happen; 1) we drag more stuff out, and have a different mess, and 2) since we have so much room, we get to go buy more stuff, because what if we ran out? We could not let that happen. 😂🤣😂

Why not organize your scraps? You could have a group of envelopes or file folders, label them ,,,,scrap flowers, scrap graphics, scrap backgrounds, etc. and put all your stamps together, all your lace, all your buttons....Im just starting to organize. * What Id like to see is why youre picking certain things, what are the 'elements' of a tag, or embellishment or folio.How do you balance elements and color? 1 Background, fabric vs lace, focal point, color combos, etc.. I find people put too much stuff on a tag, items that don't match, wrong sizes and elements have no connection. Are you doing it intuitively? All your stuff comes out lovely.
@shabbydabbydoodah4 жыл бұрын
