In this video, we're creating a functional and fabulous belly band for your junk journal! This removable closure with pockets is perfect for storing ephemera or journaling secrets. Plus, you can write on the inside or underneath the band for a fun reveal!

String, twine, ribbon, or embroidery thread
1" hole punch
Double-sided tape or glue
Distress ink (or tea dye) (optional)

Have you ever used Treasury tags as an alternative to brads or buttons? I wonder if they would be a little less cumbersome or destructive to the materials. To be fair, I've never built a junk journal... but your posts make me think of certain situations in my life where they would be liberating and revelatory. Keep fueling that creativity - love it.
