I absolutely adore this journal! It's exactly what I have been looking for, well one of 2 journals 🥰 A soft, Victorian Vintage, Shabby Chic journal 💜 and a Witchy, Herbs and Potions BoS journal 🖤 So difficult to find paper to use in Denmark...so much is digital, no letters, no ads, no phone books, no catalogs, not even paper/books in schools anymore! 😱 It will be a true challenge to make one... but so lovely to see yours, thank you 💕🌸

I don't understand if these journals are made for someone else to buy or use, you leave very little room for them to personalize it themselves, because it's jammed packed! I would cut back on some of the decor for the journals you plan on selling in the future ijs. Now if they are for you i truly understand beautiful work❤
@ThePaperOutpost5 жыл бұрын
Hi, these contain many hidden journal spaces, journal cards to write on etc as opposed to tradition blank page journals. Its just a different style :)

Pam...do you have a tutorial on how to do a huge journal like this? I'm just wondering how you do the 9X6 measurement and how do you cover the whole book cover. I'm new to this and I'm doing tiny ones no more than 7X5 which I cover up with a 12X12 sheet and I have been using boxes from food. I'd like some help if you can. Or a video tutorial please. Love all your stuff!💗💕💗💕

Pam, this is a beautiful journal. She is, of course, long gone as I'm seeing this in January. As you are one of the more forthright and open journal makers, would y u discuss how you price your journals? In all my watching of flip-throughs, no one ever discusses how the journals are priced. I don't have any plans to sell anything but I am curious as to how the price of a journal is determined. Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I think it's a topic that would be interesting to a wide audience.
@ThePaperOutpost4 жыл бұрын
Hi Diane, in general this is the way I price my journals based on hours spent, materials used, age and value of vintage ephemera, value of original water color art, how elaborate the cover is, how many signatures etc. My journals have been priced from $95-$300 so far. Looking on Etsy can also give you an idea of what journals are priced at. Also look on ebay for completed listings on journals for actual sales prices. The most elaborate journal I have ever seen was Jibid Neary's Old Curiosity Shop Journal. If you have never seen that video I highly recommend watching that one! Its mind blowing. If I recall correctly that journal was listed around the $1000 mark. (don't quote me on that one, could have been a $1000 pounds!) Also check out Lindsay Zenor's channel - she sells other peoples journals for them. This can give you another perspective on pricing :) Hoping this helps :)

Just curious - is your writing board made of chipboard?
@ThePaperOutpost5 жыл бұрын
Hi Bunny, Yes, I use thick chipboard that is found at the back of artist sketch pads but you could easily glue a piece or 2 or 3 of thinner chipboard together. Sanding the edges is the key :) Your questions are always welcomed :)
