I have a phone book. We still get them. I could send you one when I get my next one dropped off if you like? I LOVE using my sewing machine also for journaling. I'm only working on my 2nd one. My first one was as a grad gift 1 1/2 yrs ago. Today I am starting a "Sample/Prototype Journal" to place ideas like this in and who/where I got the idea from. So fun. I just made a couple of these. I used a paper pulp egg carton to cover up my staples and even threw a little bit of retro fabric on it. Topped if off with a jeweled heart. Thanks Pam! Fun. So far I’ve made 2. Topped the other with some blue laser cut felt. These are just the cutest.

Fun!! I too am guilty of not knowing what I was doing to the sewing machine I bought...I had bobbin fear, tension headaches to name a few issues. Then I named it Patricia and we have come to terms with the issues at hand. It I'll have a hidden fear of Patricia but more respect...so far so good (I guess getting my mom to sew all my home ec projects wasn't such a good idea after all...😬😜)

If I had one piece of advice for anyone who would like to try to sew and your only using it for your paper crafting, buy the least expensive machine you can find. Singer makes a very beginner friendly, non computerized easy to use that doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles but will be great for this very craft, and it’s less than a $100.00.

I'm going through my papers to make some of these! Phone books were published by phone companies back when everyone in a city had landlines through one company. Now there are very few people with landlines, so my 2013 book has 211 pages of residential (free listing) pages and 285 yellow pages which companies pay for. The one I got this spring has no residential pages and only 185 yellow pages. I only get one because I have a landline and cell phone.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ OMGOODNESS!!! Girl you are wearing me out... LOL... you talk soooo fast I don’t know how you do it... BUT ... I catch everything you say...and I love your book page videos. I throughly enjoy each of them and that for 20-30 minutes you teach, demonstrate and explain what you are doing... I don’t hear 102 ‘things’ you did last night or what your plans are for the next 102 days... lol ...and they are an hour video and I learned pretty much nothing...I do you follow a girl out of England her KZbin channel is Attic Lane and she does ‘Coffee Break’ videos that are between 10-30 minutes. So when I get notified of a new coffee break video I get happy... so you need a series name for your book page videos... I know you have a How To playlist but with a book page video they just need a name of their own... I am currently binging your entire YT videos... HOWEVER...Your camera movements need lots of work... I follow Jennifer on YT Jen of eve Designs...(she does mini albums) and her camera is set up overhead and she can hold things up to the camera so she’s no fussing with zooming at all... lots of other people have their way that work too I just think Jennifers is the best set up if anyone’s ... I’m really happy I found you because I am thoroughly enjoying all of your videos your personality, your skills and your humor… Not so much your Stickels ...LOL... As far as sewing, I agree it gives it a very finished appearance and I have been sewing all my life… So I just decided to buy myself a new sewing machine and ...I haven’t sown anything since...because of error code E6… What the heck is an error E6??? No one seems to know… Hopefully one day I won’t hate it and call it ugly names and E6 will work it’s self out... lol In the meantime I’ve got videos to binge on... lol...
