As a new player in the game, this was very helpful. Best video I’ve seen on this topic. Thank you!

You can also harvest parts below 15% for scrap to upgrade parts on cars you plan on keeping/racing, not worth it to upgrade the star rating of parts if selling the car though. It's mainly just to improve performance for racing and not worth the money/effort for the slight difference in profits. Just wanted to add that because it's an option other than just selling them outright or putting ruined parts on a car. I think they pay double whatever the parts/body of the car are worth so higher percentage means higher returns. I buy everything if I need the extra scrap but otherwise I only buy parts that can be repaired, there's a full list on the wiki and I hardly even have to use it. After the first few times you learn what to look for except maybe for the occasional rare parts that aren't in many junkyards. Great video though with lots of info for new players! Edit: I posted that around the 4 minute mark when you said there were only 2 things to do with the parts, wasn't expecting it to be a separate section. But you'll make way more profit even just by buying new parts than putting ruined parts, the cheapest car I've sold after restoring to 100% was $160k.

great video, but in case you dont already know you can turn off the travel costs in the settings, then any junk yard visits are free, same for anywhere else you need to travel to.

Thanks some great advice, especially buying all the scrap, I was looking through every scrap heap and trying to find parts to match the scrap car 😂

I have been able to upgrade the performance rating on performance parts with scraps.

I play a lot of bit and still trying to figure it out. You can also turn that travel fee off

Hey just out of curiosity.... In buying all the scraps, do you bother fixing them or do you just throw the on as is? If you mentioned it, I missed it. I have a short attention span sometimes lol

Staring it up seemed like a bad investment to me. Just repair them if you can but even if you can't put them on a car and sell it. Better & for time that way.

@@jarrod0987 my strategy is.... If you find a high end car, rebuild it to 100 percent. If you put the biggest rims (the most expensive ones) and biggest tires on them, may look ridiculous but it'll add at least 50 grand to the total. The junk cars it'll add around 40k. You spend around 20k on rims and tires. Works with junkyard rims, just won't make as much. I go back and forth with your strategy and mine lol. My inventory gets overwhelming fast though. I had to get rid of 30 percent or less just to mentally deal with it haha (edit.... I have the dlcs so my high end cars may be higher than yours. Not sure if the hammerdal strale s is on the base game.... I also have the Aston Martin vehicles but I end up with around 250 to 300k profit after buying basically all the parts)

Under settings I see " Travel Fees " should it be on or off ?
