Absorb which can give him an incredibly high hp pool and his attacks do massive damage. I'd say he's too strong as he is now or all tanks have to be around his level.

Although the problem with bringing all tanks to sigma’s level is that you get into the realm of “powercreep.” If you make all the tanks really strong, then you need to make evvveryone way stronger, causing a feedback loop of sheer damage. As a result, buffs unfortunately need to be heavily balanced with nerfs, or else at a certain point, everyone will just get instakilled after one second of damage lol.

I have been playing Overwatch 1 for two years and I was so excited about OW2. I have been a support main on OW1 (mostly Lucio and Moira player, sometimes Hanzo and Soldier 76 for fun). I can imagine how he'd look like as a tank. He'd TAKE space with recon mode, and MAKE/ENFORCE space with sentry. His OW2 grenade would be moved to his Ability 2 slot, only it'd explode on contact and would have more knockback at the cost of damage. His self-repair would return, because what's a tank without some sort of self-sustain? And his primary fire would work like OW1 bastion again, making him feel like a tanky 76. As for his infamous Sentry mode, he wouldn't be able to reload or use abilities while using it. But he can start moving the instant he starts reconfiguring back into recon, with the caveot that his weapons and abilities only come back online once he's FULLY reconfigured... But that's if he's using OW1 sentry, he might end up using OW2 sentry but I personally like this idea more.

She actually isn't that hot rn. In a scrim setting, JQ can only play brawl, and zenyatta is better with something like Sigma, (Zen is OP RN.) With Sojourn and Zen being so oppressive rn, the meta is poke, and poke beats brawl. If you really wanna run brawl on like colleseo, then brig lucio jq reaper cass is not bad and can work.

The meta of the game hasn’t been established yet cause competitive isn’t a thing yet, people are still trying new heroes, new comps and figuring out how things fit in to place, and a whole meta can’t be ‘poke’ cause poking all game isn’t an effective strategy. It doesn’t net you elims, it won’t stop a push and most of all it’s SUPER easy to play around. Sigma as a tank is not in a great spot at the moment, picking him from experience feels more like a throw because without his second tank to back him up he is deceptively squishy, and is EXTREMELY hard countered by a certain JQ. As far as JQ herself is going, yes, she is quite strong. She’s not quite overpowered but she’s not balanced either. She is a character who I’ve actually found use in using her as a poke character despite what I said earlier. She’s really good at doing short bursts of damage that create space for your team that allows you to take fights easily, there’s also the fact that as long as she has any form of healer with her she WILL NOT die a good player (such as myself) literally feels invincible with her. Her damage, is insane and her scattergun can do deceptively high amounts of damage at a range too. Reaper on the other hand (as a reaper main with 300+ hours on the character) is looking absolutely terrible. The openness of the game state at the moments makes it very hard for him to find his moments and he’s picked off super easy. He has no value as a support stomper anymore as Zen has kick and Ana has anti and dart. Considering Ana and Zen seems to be the best ideal combo with supports at the moment he gets out out of his ideal range the second he gets into it. His role as a tank buster is absolute useless too, considering there’s only one tank in 5v5 Not to mention, he is once again countered by another ever prevalent JQ who absolutely stomps him close quarters. Simply put, his damage is way too inconsistent for him to see use at the moment. Not to mention, Reinhardt is ALSO not looking too great at the moment for many reasons but I’m sick of typing and won’t get into them. JQ atm is pretty easily the best tank, she does way too much for her team and has too much value in team fights for anyone to opt picking against her.

@@rogueisded Look, I literally play in T2 scenes, here’s why sigma is good. Very simple idea, his shield allows quick rotations and allows both zenyatta and sojourn to get a free pick. You cannot poke with JQ, because she will get melted by railgun character. JQ is good in brawl bc she is only effective up close. As I said before, a poke comp, (Sigma, Sojourn, Genji, Zenyatta, Baptiste,) will beat a brawl comp, (JQ or Rein, Cass, Bap or Brig, Lucio.) Reaper, can be good in these braw comps because he is good up close. Of course you could always play Genji bc he is broken rn. JQ has nothing to help a sojourn or zen so that’s why sigma is better.

I’ve had the most success with Queen by just being as aggressive as possible. The more damage you do the more sustain you have in the fight. This can backfire and you can be punished, but I feel like that’s just the nature of her play style. A passive and defensive JQ is useless.
