Imma likin’ those backwoods junkyards. Also likin’ that I found your channel. Easy listening. Easy watching. Video wise you must have some background in editing. Great content and even better transitions. Not many people get that. Definitely a draw for me and the reason(s) I’ll be coming back. Keep it up sir. You deserve subscriptions!!!

I appreciate the encouragement! Also appreciate you taking the time to drop a comment, means a lot to me. I have no experience in filming or editing, I'm just a dude with a GoPro and a dream to chase and trying to stay busy living life ya know. Thanks for subscribing, the growth of the channel keeps fueling the operation. I hope you enjoy the videos and I'll keep rolling!

Birds singing. Nice sunny day. High weeds and rust. Just doesn't get any better. Thanks for the content.

I remember a lot of them cars being complete and rust free cars when they came into the yard I have been going to Stark's Auto salvage since I was 13 years old sad part is they don't have nearly half the old cars in there that they used to have

The 8.8 came in the F-800 and 900 with twin turbos. Only made high 300s HP, but the torque was in the 500s. Only weighs about 1400#, and they were made at the Cleveland engine plant in Ohio. That was one of the first engines I helped my neighbor fix when i was a kid(he owned a gas station). I think it was in one of the town dump trucks. Would have been a late 60s model, like me. So that's not far from home. Wonder what the modern 8.8 can do? Think they put one in a mustang.

We've got a bulk feed truck at the elevator with an International DT466. It has great torque even when loaded (10 ton feed plus vehicle weight) the HP is not great but I assume it's higher than these gas engines. I dug into the ford engine the other day, I hear it leaves a lot to be desired and parts are hard to find. It was neat to see though

@@route40rust I haven't seen a gas motor like that since I was a kid. I love all the big block motors they built in the 70s and 80s

Not sure, ill have to rewatch or go back and visit again. I tend to ger tunnel vision when on the hunt for parts I need. A habit I need to break and enjoy the adventure

About 3 minutes into the video, you're driving to the sound of music. What is the name of that music and who plays it?
@route40rust7 күн бұрын
It is called "Splendid Quietude" by Trout Recording. There are a good amount of non-copyrighted audio clips on my editing software that I use. Some songs ask for shared revenue, some none. Most main stream music artists will not allow the use of their music on KZbin. Its a bit of a struggle sometimes

You can tell what generation we come from because we call them "Bread trucks" and not "panel vans". I'm not sure this generation knows what to call them. Maybe "Amazon delivery trucks". All the ones here in upstate NY are electric and look really weird.
