I haven't seen chargers like that in a junk yard since the eighties. Louvered taillights are correct on a 72 Rallye, they were a carry over from the previous year but should be black instead of silver.

The Red '72 Rallye Charger has '71/72 Tail lamps . They are correct for '72 Rallyes & 500's AS WELL AS '71 R/T's & 500's

Thats a 70 cougar, my best friend had the same car about 1987.It had those same Crager's on it also with a 351 Cleveland and a factory 4 spd trans with a factory hurst shifter. The car was super-fast and we drove all over North of Boston and New Hampshire area back in the day. Great car. Also his dad had a 1973 Dodge charger that he would use on occasion just like the ones in the scrap yard.318 auto.The charger was bought new in 1973 by him.

@@AutoArchaeology I told my friend about your video,he watched it, and got back to me. His grill and tail panel are identical to the ones in the video. He is the second owner , having bought it from his uncle in 1980. He’s in the process of restoring the car. F-8 green with green interior,340 ,4sp.

I have a 73 charger SE it has 2 fender tags the second is just about blank
