Million Dollar Junkyard full of classic cars for sale in Alabama! This small town family junkyard closed in 1979 in north Alabama. Hundreds of classic cars from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s were collected by the Brooks family as a hobby/family junkyard. Initially, the junkyard was a joint venture by two brothers. The family has decided to sell off the cars. It was not an easy decision. For years they were unable to call the recycler to scrap out the place because the cars have too many memories. The day they never thought would come is here. All the cars and trucks, muscle cars, rare wagons, and convertibles must go!
DETAILS: CARS ONLY, NOT LAND
If you decide to buy or make an offer, there is one catch. The $1M buys just the cars. You will have six months to move them out. After six months a rental fee will be charged to the buyer if all cars not removed. Also, seller says that you may not run a business out of the property. Using the property as a car lot to sell off the vintage vehicles is not an option.
Buy them all, move them and do what you want. The seller knows it will be an involved process. Trees will have to be cut down to avoid damaging the cars during removal. Final negotiations will be worked out with Frank who is featured in the video. Send me an email with your contact info.

I will pass along your contact info to Frank if you email me at: junkyardbull@gmail.com

Like most people that have a Junkyard as a hobby, They waited 30 or 40 years to long to decide to sell. Now most way to far gone, lucky to get a few parts off each. I Bet there are 6 - 8 cars as whole that could be Restored, and if Done Right...Thats more money than the Car is worth. He needs to Re-think the Value of rough Parts Cars. Good luck!

Unfortunately, there is nothing but scrap there now. I would drive by places like this 40 years ago looking for parts, but the answer I usually got was "I'm going to do something with them one day". Sad part is, most of those cars are still sitting there completely rusted away. Good intentions, but no real plan to do anything with them. Thanks for the video

The other thing people are mentioning, in addition to it all being rusted and too far gone...it's been picked over for decades as a junkyard. So almost every car is missing 25% of it. Makes what little value might be there be almost zero. Sad. Agree that it would have been cool to see it in the 70's.

Back in the 70's junk yards were where you always went for parts when the parts stores said they could get the part in a week or so, because you needed the car for your job. The junk yard always had the part. There was always a car like yours there and most of them still had parts on them. They were a life saver.

The problem with older cars now is that...parts only has value to the right person. I can't tell you the cars I see driving around that could benefit from a junkyard part here and there. Usually when they get to that , the owner doesn't give a shit anymore and doesn't have the know how to do anything.

@@MyWillypilly You are so right. My dad died kinda quick back in '19. He had 2 homes one had a really big barn chock full of cars, jeeps all kinds of parts and tools. I could'nt afford to buy the cars off of my sisters share. My job was to sell as much as I could. Just the time posting stuff, I lived 500 miles from this place, time to get there go through stuff throw out junk etc. It was a monumental task for 1 guy. I could'nt get anyone to help me. Anyways i had plenty of prospects contact me. The house is in the most northern part of Michigan's upper peninsula. People would whine about how far it was from them blah blah. Anyways my dads dying wish to me was to clear out as much as I can for me. My sisters could care less how much I got. I have a '24 enclosed car trailer. I made 2 trips getting the things I wanted filling that trailer front to back floor to ceiling and it still looked like I didn't make a dent. Anyways I lost my ass selling things a few cars my dad had he spent many thousands of dollars went for just a few thousand a piece. The money we used for expenses we were trying to get things buttoned up because taxes are extremely expensive there. Covid was eveyones excuse for people to rip me off. This poor guy has a real delema on his hands. Like everyone else here says about a public auction thats the best idea I believe. Hope he makes some money!

@@jasonduke3608 People in the salvage business better rethink prices before it's too late. I junked a running , driving car with good tires because nobody wanted it. That was two years ago. I could have got more miles from it, but nobody from the junkyard was going to sell me parts. Fruck, I was done . It didn't help that insurance company wanted too many $ to insure it on my current policy.

Unbelievable. His Dad in not selling anything for 40 years, and then him thinking the cars his father ruined are worth Hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sometimes I believe people holding onto cars are what kept them from being crushed long ago, but most of these cars are almost just as bad off now than if they had been crushed 40 years ago. It's truly sad to see this. He said he would give 6 months to get them all gone, well, think about the time and money it will take just to remove them from the property. It would take multiple months, working 40 hours a week, just to get them all gone. Have to cut down trees, have a rollback, oh, and the new owner would have to have their own place to put them all. Its just not going to happen. What I see happening, is if they truly want them all gone, he will have to give the cars away to a scrap yard if they can justify that the scrap value is higher than the amount of time and effort it will take to clear the property. What a sad headache and nightmare this man's father left his family to have to deal with. I knew a gentleman who had a huge outdoor collection of vehicles in PA, 300-400 cars, but he at least had a huge public auction and sold off everything that his family didnt want to keep before he passed away.

there was a junkyard like this up behind where my wife grew up. Went there once or twice and when you asked about a price they would say "we're not one of those yards with a price list ! You show us what you want and then we can decide on a price" Usually it was way too high. The owner died and his family could not afford the taxes on the land so a developer bought it for dirt cheap and SCRAPPED every vehicle on the property !

I understand attachment to things and legacies but at the same time you need to know when to let go. He waited 30 years to long. Its the shows that people watch and think I’m sitting on gold because they still see the sentimental value and what the once was. But that only goes so far at the end of the day. I tried really hard to buy three Nova’s back when I was younger. Two at the same house and another by itself. 66-65 and a 69. All in great condition. After 15 years past I got a call from the 69 and I ran to it. It was totally rotted out. The old gentleman said I can see the pain in your eyes son. What’s ya thinking. I just said it like it was , sir you waited so long that it’s gone and I seen it when it was still running. I could have done something with it. He agreed and gave it to me. I made a video the whole way from his house to junkyard to the crusher.

Being in the business, I see lots and lots of parts that could be salvaged still to this day. You can really tell who the true old car guys are by the comments on here. The rest are just clueless. Regardless of condition there is history here, not just simply scrap metal.

No way someone is going to pay a million bucks, the contents of this yard have been severely neglected, most barely even parts cars. The owners best chance at getting much of anything is to have an auction. The logistics nightmare, liability and cost to move all of this junk far outweighs what little monetary value of the mere handful of vehicles that may be able to be saved. Another prime example of the "I know what I got" mentality. What a waste!

We had an excavator for moving trees and cars, semi truck for moving cars off property and dump truck for small pieces. Only 2 cars lived on, I paid for semi truck, dump truck and excavator for a week and only had $1500 profit left over for a weeks work. Sad by all the cars in this video will get scrapped. A lot could be rat rod parts but some to far for that

No way is that stuff worth a million dollars just the work alone to get that moved unless you have moved a lot of cars out of the woods and areas like this you have no idea the amount of work an equipment it's going to take

We had a property near us, like this, in Ohio-Camaros, Mustangs, Chevelles, many of them convertibles, all rusted into the ground and totally worthless. The owner left a huge clean up responsibility -sad :(

I look at it from this aspect of old car motoring. How many 4 door cars do you see at your local Cars & Coffee? In this video 90% are 4 doors. Much less that they are so far gone. Like most comments, should have sold 20 years ago.

So he didn't show what was in the garage? I am not watching all that sadly. Took about 6 months to edit and upload? Same story? I mean this is Alabama, so it isn't like new york cars but not arizona. I would guess he said that much to keep the poors away that would try to swindle his time. I could see value there and it was an interesting watch. But I also understand the people that watched 5 minutes and were pretty critical. You did a good job capturing it and looks like you are getting some good numbers on it so grats for that! Not sure how hard it would be to make a timestamp list but that would probably help people stick around more. This is pretty tough to watch.

There's a junkyard like that near me, all classics and it's in the woods. They have much more than this , it's awesome to see but the cars are all gone, rusted, some of the really old cars are just a firewall and a roof left. Rotted literally into the ground. Leaves and rain over 50 yrs..

I love old people and old junk yards but this guy is very wrong on the price of theses vehicles. They’ve been setting there right down on the ground plus they are covered in leaves which hood even more water. I’d say most of it needs to go to the crusher.

Depending on scrap prices at the time in the area it's possible to get 3500 and maybe more it you sold some of the stainless trim parts but otherwise everything I see there from my screen though his camera is nothing but rust. In my years of experience if it looks like crap in a picture it's most likely in worse shape in person. Sad to see all that stuff has been left to rot into the ground.

After watching the entire video ive come to the conclusion that the old boy who thinks those rotted , wrecked and stripped 4 door mavericks , impalas and rambler wagons are worth a million dollars is higher than giraffe lips ! There is no real highly desirable vehicle that I noticed and anything that would have had any potential interest from builders and collectors like myself is far too gone to be worth any effort or consideration. Theres literally nothing in this wrecking yard that i or the majority of car guys in general would find worth any effort. Its all just junk ready to be crushed and sold as scrap . Theres nothing there

I think he's got a better chance at selling those bottles before he does those cars as a whole. I think others have nailed what's gonna happen. He'll pass one day and his family will have it all junked. He's holding onto memories, which are priceless to him. He's just throwing a crazy number out there because he knows no one will give it to him. But, now he can justify that he "tried to save them". Unfortunately, maybe 10% of that is worth anything, while the rest lost complete value/worth over the last 45 years of direct weathering.

I've seen these situations for years. Be it a farmer with a single car that rots in a field, or a hoarder with hundreds of rusting scrap. These cars aren't worth the price of scrap because of the rust content. Sorry to say this place is 50 years to late. Sad thing is, the gentleman can tell you everything about every one of these rotting hulks...RF
