I have been listening to the original, and Junna's drum cover. She actually improves on the original. One of the most noticeable ways in which she differs from the original is this triplet she does with the double-pedals. How nutz is that to take on a difficult song to cover, then decide I can do the drumming a few beats better. Junna is a pure joy to watch, all pigtails and drumsticks.

First of all, music is no competition. What you define as better, might have been a musical choice. Also her drumming is pretty sloppy, the first thing a drummer should do is play a decent groove, it seems like she is more focussed on playing dificult parts to impress the listener. It seems to work on you though...

I'm not a drummer, but for me, beyond the raw "in your face" energy, the endless sea of creative and perfectly executed subtle details that she constantly incorporates in her constructions is what makes her drumming a unique and out of this world experience. First of all .. she is ridiculously REDICULOUS...I've been playing rock guitar for 50 years.... And to rock out with her would be an honor. She's not just a drummer.... She is the Buddy Rich of Rock. I say this because she's not just playing the drum parts.... She's singing the words... Knows every accent and stop.... Responds to and probably knows all the guitar parts....something that I can't get many seasoned drummers to do.... And her double kick pattens are super tight and accurate.... Watch some Buddy Rich stuff and you'll see what I mean. Her musical sense and drum chops are beyond all reason.All the best to Junna...,................................... The Buddy Rich Of Rock😊

I love JUNNA! She's a BAD ASS! In response to playing with her. Check out Yoyoka. She is on the DrummerWorld Top 500 List of all time best drummers with all of the legends. She makes a "Drums Only" version of many of her covers. Has received recognition and praise from several of the worlds top drummers (Ian Paice, Dave Grohl, Robert Plant). But she puts these "DRUMS ONLY" covers out so people can play them with her. Well, maybe it's just me but Junna's cover seems, I dare say, quite a few notches above the original. Whereas in the latter the drums are mostly heard, if I'm not gravely mistaken, as a monotonous rapid-machine-gunfire accompaniment, she, on the other hand, breathes tumultuous, tempestuous, abundant LIFE into it - with a vengeance. :) Listening to her drumming is a pure, unadulterated joy, delight, relish, delectation... and then some. And, surely, it doesn't hurt that Rising Force is a marvelous piece of music in itself. After choosing the 'loop' on the video, my fingers are loath to turn this option off. :) Love from Croatia!
