For some reason this sounds like it would fit perfectly into that old outer space mine shooter, Descent. Can't you just imagine floating around the levels blasting away at the robots with your lasers and plasma cannons? Evil, red eyes tracking you down, the mine shaking as it's exploding around you. Quick, get to the exit!

Well . . didn't the JR guy originally just intend his music as part of an art exhibit or something? From wikipedia regarding the start of JR: "Watkins wanted to collaborate with other artists, producing exciting projects that were not commercially driven. He wanted to create experimental music and non-musical soundtracks that would work with installations, art pieces, and film projects"

It almost seems like Gods & Monsters was an extreme step in that direction. I mean he does some soundtracks (okay thats an under-statement) but they're separate from the albums which have been pretty solid psytrance since like....1993. Even if they have varied in fusion and involved some experimentation. This just threw out the formula completely besides a few songs.

I wouldn't say rubbish, but not up to par and less accessible. Really experimental and weird. Almost like what you'd expect from Fantomas or something.

me n00b ? haha. Listen to Koxbox Forever after (1995) and compare. By the way I probably started to listen to goa trance in year 1996 so i know a bit about it. I've been listening to all the all time classics, that means : -astral projection first albums (dancing galaxy...) -MFG new kind of world -california sunshine wonderful goa : nasha, etc. -darshan - awakening -dimension 5 transdimensional -pigs in space, oforia... etc Rotorblade is a great track by Juno, Ice cube sounds awful, IMO
