You do good videos very honest in your reviews and I do enjoy them. I think you found another class for you :-). It's all in the practice, practice, practice. You need to start going to 3D shoots with a plain old stick bow and have fun, relax, and enjoy yourself. Thank you.

I've got one of these "black hunter " takedown longbows and the fit and finish is top class, it's only 35 lbs but its smooth to draw and now I've changed out the factory string its a lot quieter and after a fair bit of practice its consistently accurate (at least at 20 yards) all in all a lovely little bow and something different, I like different I also shoot a spigarelli revolution in full Olympic style and an RPM striker fully kitted . Keep up the good work and the good honest reviews mate .

I got one a couple weeks ago. 35lb longbow,58". Strung it with a Bearpaw whisper string and using 500 spine MAC arrows with 145gn Fpts. Braceheight set at 7.5" and it shoots very well. Superb design. Excellent grip and the shelf is rebated to reduce feather contact. It would be really cool if Jungxing made carbon limbs for this riser.
@sigmanarchery546 жыл бұрын
Looks like what is called the black hunter here in the USA. And so far I’ve seen it as low as $98. And now they are making bamboo core replaceable limbs. Also you can use the new impulse veins which you can shoot off the shelf. Yes that’s so true it does take a lot of practice but it sure is fun.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale6 жыл бұрын
Yes it is. The Sage is over priced in the USA. The F171 a much better recurve in my opinion. The Sage stacks, not as well finished, not the quality in the limbs or riser.

@@greenhoodedvigilante458 it feels as good as it shoots , I have not had any signs of quality issues, even put som 60lbs limbs on it witvh made it an absolutte best. You cant tell the limbs set appart in quality they both fit snug nut the filt might wear down. The only negative i find is that its 58 inches, not 60.

I have the "Black Hunter" hybrid longbow in bamboo @ 40# draw weight. My draw length is 29.5" and i do get some noticable stscking at anchor; not a deal breaker, but annoying. Other than that, I really like the form, fit and function. Wish it was available in a 62" AMO to accomodate those with goofy long arms.

I have a Black Hunter at 40#. It is basically the same bow. It is quiet and smooth to shoot with no hand shock. I am shooting 3 under with 28" 600 spine arrow pushing a 125gr tip. It shoots better than my Quick Stick at almost 3X the money. The deluxe one looks really good and might get one.
@matthewwagner40425 жыл бұрын
I have a black hunter 41#(45#), I also have 35# limbs, both longbow limbs. Twig Archery.I also shoot 3 under. I'm using gamegetter 500s, uncut, with 100 grain tips. I'd also like to get just the deluxe riser.
@ardbeg4mercy2474 жыл бұрын
I bought the deluxe version. 50#@28" (put it on scales) 400 spine piledrivers cut to 30", 145 up front. Bullet holes through paper. A few things... the video makes it look like the riser is zebrawood. It is not. It's made from "parawood", which can occasionally have stripes. Mine has one small stripe on one side. Also notice the scalloping on the belly side of the riser where it meets the limbs on the base model. That's not there on the deluxe. Mine also came with recurve limbs instead of rd longbow, but they're not the 58" limbs that are on the f171. It actually comes out at 60" AMO. Still a badass bow, way better than my hoyt stackmaster 2.

I’ve got one (goes by many names Black Hunter being the most common) and you can improve the look by sanding off the hard edges, finish with 240 grit, stain it with a metho based stain ( I used wife’s wool dye in a greenish/sepia/walnut tone), give it a good wax and it comes up looking very schmick indeed.

I am interested in the delux version of the 172, but when I went to your company's website, I didn't find an email address to contact you. I had a few questions regarding the delux. 1. What is the riser constructed of? 2. What wood are the limb cores made of? 3. Does the bow come with string and what type of string is it? 4. What is the shipping cost and general idea of shipping time to the US? Great looking bow, I've heard nothing but good things about the f172. Looking forward to your response.

I love mine. I've got the #40 & draw it to about 30.5". I shoot instinctive & it's really nicely consistent. Shot a 450 indoor with it on Friday & robin hooded one in the + . It's stupidly good for the cash tbh.

If you've check the actual draw weight on a scale versus what the advertised draw weight is, how accurate is the advertising? I know a while back these bows seemed to scale out a few pounds under their advertised draw weights. I know of a used one for sale that scaled out at 47# at 28" but was advertised as a 50# @ 28" bow.

Not very experienced with trad bows but would a $1000 bow push an arrow out that much faster to warrant the extra cost.
@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale6 жыл бұрын
I like the Rogue from Predator but no I think the speed will be about the same. On top end recurve limbs the difference is very little from $1000 to $200 limbs. But if you want a cool looking recurve everyone will admire Predator are the go.

Well that's interesting if you were looking at a bow purely for hunting you would be probably better off buying a cheap one, if looks weren't a concern.
@qv-wr4yb6 жыл бұрын
I'd say speed-wise, there will be hardly any difference. This is basically limbs design, materials, and arrow weight. And if you are not a damn good shooter, you won't gain any advantage with the $1000 bow. Just like a beginner or casual compound shooter will not benefit from a $2000 bow. As a local dealer once said to me: The bow must only be better than you.

From the looks of it the only thing would be the look of it, with the bit of limb end protruding into the top of the sight window area well away from interfering with anything. And if that bothered you you could grind off that bit if you wished 🤔.

Quality over all looks fair, For being a cheaper bow. Riser looks nice and looks like the company making them takes pride in their work. Bow has less noise then a sage. And 189.00 here in the states the sage runs about $225.00. Love the fact your wearing a Bear Archery shirt while fliming this lol. Give me a good discount on the other bow lol lol. But yes clear glass will do that. I even see it in 1000.00 + custom bows
