Can I Survive a Bloodstained MAX Randomizer?

I do Bloodstained Max Randos on Hard. My best time is 1:02:08::54. The biggest tip I've got is that Alkahests are the most important item. Because anything can be made out of anything you could Dismantle a Rat Tail into 5 Valkyrie Swords, a Recycle Hat, and a Solomon Ring (a recipe I've come across.) So if you find a quick way to farm them, you should farm at least 22 of them.

The cool thing about the random yellows, at least if you play normally, is that they can become permanent and can stack with themselves. I thought it was a cool mechanic.

That platform tech is wild. If it IS file-specific, I have to wonder how that even works, but I also have to laugh at the fact that out of all the weird tricks that have been used in games (looking at you, dirty Spongebob discs), WHICH FILE YOU PLAY ON can now matter. Of course, the alternative is just that Jup had some ability or item that slightly changed the walking hitbox or whatever, some frame-altering nonsense in his inventory. But that's less silly than it being a FILE issue.

I like the idea of the max rando settings in Bloodstained. I like that there's a built-in randomizer _at all,_ in fact. *I just wish there was a spoiler log.* There have been a few files where I just couldn't find the key item for the passport, and I swear it must have been, like, a random alkahest breakdown I just never found.

It's still possible for Zangetsuto to spawn past Gebel in some seeds lol, I had to do a very janky clip to finish my max rando run

So, this inspired me to try a mostly random run. Defeat all evil Rando shop/crafting Key items are shuffled Enemy drops chaos Items completely randomized I got seed #136,062,720, a really good starting one, good surprises after first Zangetsu fight, at like 45 minutes I had everything I needed save for the glasses. Probably could’ve been a 1:20 run but I kept looking for the glasses 🤣🤣 Check it!

That's why I usually skip the toad farm until I can get to the other side of the garden. That room right before the caverns is WAY better for farming them.

I have been able to consistently single jump out of the bottom right room before Alfred. It’s tight but possible, hopefully not save file dependent.

welcome to the craziness that is Bloodstained Max rando XD. Just Two things really quick to help make the next one a bit easier. 1: If a farm goes a little longer than you like, Check the bestiary to see if they DO drop a shard or not as enemies not droping Shards is a thing. 2:FOOD IS YOUR FRIEND, I sorta understand why you opted for the High Ethers,The Ice Criclet and Gebel Glasses WAS on the table,even if you had to dismantel a a flame whip to get it but... Dude,Food gives you one time premenant stat boosts AND you had apple juice in the shop,which would of have giving you a MP regen Boost. IMO,Unless it's something insane like a Valk Sword or recycle hat in the shop , In Max Rando, it's always best to buy atleast one of every food type you can afford as those Stat boosts really help out in the long run. Also, the Drop rates don't stack with the Solomon Rings? huh... Eh, The Stats make them good enough to double up on Until you get something like a Elemental ring or Gebel Glasses.

I found recently that there's a "true randomizer" mod for Bloodstained that has a rather robust map randomizer built into it, among other things. Are you planning on running that at some point?

I did a max hard rando last night. The first item I got was Gebel's. Then the next was Valkyrie dress. Then the rest were MP ups. I had to farm squids till one dropped a rigga storeama. I was on the boat for 24 minutes.
