Looks cool… but the important things I'm missing are IDE-like features in the text editor. Syntax complementation, unused variables highlighting etc. Basically, all the feature Spyder editor has. I still compute data by running Python scripts on them…

Is there a plan to add nodes and 3D interactive viewer? Maybe even AR mode?

Is there a way to execute the python code in the markdown file inline versus just sending the code to the separate code console?

i am curious how you enable the syntax color highlighting in the markdown source code block? i tried the latest Jupyterlab and it does not work for me ... one more thing i would like jupyter to have is auto completion in the markdown source code block, i would switch to Jupyterlab right way if that works!

So, and how to work with it with multiple monitors?

JupyterLab looks like a great initiative, but can it be designed to tackle data science specific problems. I want to see my plots (generated by matplotlib) and documentation in a different window like in RStudio. Things like syntax complementation will also be a huge help.

You should be able to turn off inline mode, save the plot to file, and open the file in a new window.

If you're about to watch this you're probably going to be comfortable at 1.5x speed.

This is great and I started exploring Lab. I am trying to save notebook as python script (*.py).. is it possible?

Go to the File menu and there you will see the download as .Py file. Same as classical Jupyter notebook.
