Personally, for me, the cool things about this set are the dinosaur colors and Malcolm's "Tranq" rifle. The Weapon, I think are an improvement upon the Grant set, but I agree, that it seems like something is missing from this set. Not to mention, why didn't Ian come with a Baby Gallimimus, like he did in Kenner's JP Series II? Unfortunately, that also means we missed out on some JPIII baby Pteranodons with the Grant Set, but the Raptor could match up with the Novel's Baby Raptor, Clarence, that Lex named. I understand the "Glider" wings were a nod to The Lost World Ian set, but then including Eddie Carr's Baby Trike, was rather odd. I like the Baby Trike, but, I would have preferred we not get another Ian Malcolm figure, and have a sleeveless shift Ellie Sattler, instead. I also, have never liked that boring paint scheme from Eddie's Trike, but even Ellie Sattler's was kind of bland too. Now, T-Rex Turner's Baby Trike was a color scheme I would have liked to have seen in this set. I agree, that a frill is needed for the Spitter. And yes, I was surprised at just how small the dinosaur was, in hand. I was hoping for a wee bit bigger one that would be on par with the Gallimimus. Since, the inclusion of the Dilophosaur seems to be based on the Kenner Trading Card where one is biting and pulling on Ian's shirt while he's trying to run away. That said, I love that it has the cool JPIII Spitter coloration, so maybe that was an odd hint to a Non-Kenner paint scheme, but I liked how this beautiful, but deadly, addition to Jurassic Park came out, particularly without an annoying non-removable, hinged frill, this time around. All in all, I got a few of the Ian Sets, but I straight-up army built the Grant sets. The Gallimimus colors are just so much more fun and if you paint some red stripes on the Baby Raptor, you'll get The Lost World Novel color scheme going on. Keep up the good work, man! 👊😎🍻
