Just adding some additional information for all. I too was having problems getting my game to load. I downloaded multiple zipped files from different sources. Nothing worked. Then, I updated my Teknoparrot about an hour ago. So far, all seems good. The file I'm using is 1.08 from the "archieve"

Hey Thanks so much, Brad for all your great videos. They helped me a lot and I had a question for one of your older videos. I want to see if I can send a screenshot about the barrel lights and the led display. I can't seem to get them working. I had the recoil working with the Cowell. My question is, do you have to have these on a different file? But in the same folder like one for the barrel. Lights one for the LED display. Or should they all be on the same page? The barrel lights and the led displays need to get activated via commands in your game(s) mamehooker .ini file I usually activate them in the MameStart= line MameStart=ghd 1 &H04B4 &H6870 8 &h04:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00,ghd 2 &H04B4 &H6870 8 &h04:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00:&h00

Gonna toss some of you a bone and let you know what worked for me. I was doing everything that this and other videos were saying to do and downloaded the game from several sources. Nothing worked and I was getting annoyed. But what did work for me is, I updated my nvidia driver and I was good to go from there. Hope this helps others out.

@Brad-D Because of all the horror stories as of late, I am nervous about updating my TP...but I very badly want to play this game! Since updates are usually sequential, what version are you using in this video? Also (and more importantly), do you need to have two light guns connected in order to get through the initial calibration...or can cancel out of Player 2 and restart with only Player 1 calbrated? Hey Brad. I'm stuck, I'm able to play most Teknoparrot games such as (Terminator, Transformers, Walking Dead etc.) but cannot get Jurassic Park to work. The game will boot, but once I push start, instead of taking me to the level select, the screen just goes black and does nothing. I've tried multiple versions and am currently on 1.08. my youngest lad played this on an arcade whilst on holiday last year. I was wondering. do i have to buy an arcade cabinet? Is it a standard rom, what do i need? n the version I downloaded I had a zip file called JP_1.08_programs_dec. I unzipped it, placed it in the directory and also had the black screen when pressing start. The problem was that in that folder is another folder just called programs_dec. so I moved it to the root and it works.

Thanks! Alas, no. It’s TeknoParrot (with Patreon) only for now And giving the complications of the Sentinel Dongle used with some raw thrills games, I don’t expect a stand alone jconfig type alternative anytime soon

HI @Brad-D Are there any other suggestions that we should try? I have v1.08 and it has the file folder structure that you highlighted. I tried renaming game.new to game and also used the game file from your google drive. However, every time I try to boot it goes through the linux loader, launches the window (or resizes when i'm not in windowed mode) and then exits within a few seconds (It never gets to calibration or anything else). I even updated my nvidia driver. The only notable thing that it says after "Starting Game" is Joysticks Found = 0, but I have my controllers all setup. If you have any tips, they would be much appreciated!

the Joysticks Found = 0 is normal :) triple check you have all the latest updates to your TeknoParrot UI and then update your graphic card driver (again if needed). My second shooter build (the Gun cart) crashed JP just like you are describing, I ran a updates on both TP and on my NVIDIA card and then it worked :)

@@Brad-DThanks! I'll keep trying. I was having problems with TP updates, but as of last night, I finally got it to fully update. I'll do one more pass as I just noticed that nvidia released an update today and see if that works. Did you have to make any tweaks to your nvidia control panel? I saw another video that referenced doing that, but it seemed like the video that was linked was just generic 'optimization' settings and had nothing to do with TP or JP. All of my other TP roms work fine with my card and settings. I appreciate you saying that the Joysticks Found is just a red herring. That helps a ton too!

Figured out part of the problem! JP would crash as reshade tried to load, so uninstalling reshade has enabled it to load. Now to figure out how to make it all work together nicely!

@@Brad-DIndeed! Thanks for all of the other guidance. You got me this far :) I wasn't aware of GUN4IR until now. I like the placement of the d-pad on the guncon2! I wish they had it in a similar place for sinden. Having a d-pad is useful, but the placement isn't ideal.

Can this be played if you only have one gun? Can you get past the initial calibration screen?

you can! Just assign something (anything) to the player 2 gun trigger. I know one guy who mapped P2 gun to his trackball, and another guy who just double mapped his single gun to both P1 and P2. either way will allow you to get past the calibration screen. then just exit the game, un-mapped the P2 gun settings, and re-start the game

Nice! How did you get running fullscreen? Everytime I start it, it goes into 1600x1200 res for some reason and it’s at the bottom of the screen

Along with your display setting is set to 1920 x 1080, in your Windows Display Settings, make sure your Scale & Layout is also set to 100%.

There will still be no music in-game but you should have everything else. There's rumor that an addition sound patch is in the works to add back in the rest of the music. Thanks Brad, I have it set up now, but my patreon key stopped working. I thought it was expired because of the new year, so i just renewed my patreon again. When i entered the key it said that the key is already in use. i tried to go back on TP site to double check if i plugged in the right key but i can’t seem to find the location where the key is. Then click on the Patreon tab (this is where you will find your reg key) then click on reset your activations you will then be able to re register your Key in the TeknoParrot UI

I had the same issue.....at least for Jurassic Park. I haven't tried any other games. However, for me, previously I had set my monitor display settings to 1920 x 1080 with a scale of 125%. I tried to play Jurassic Park and the screen was not full screen. I changed my scale to 100% and boom...........full screen.

I tried off and on for a week and no go this doesn't work at all. Constant Black screen regardless of hardware or files you use. Waste of time. And no i'm not trolling I have many working games even one that didn't start up right off. This one takes the prize for most time wasted on nothing,.
