Sorry but I saw it in theaters and I have to say I was floored by the 3D. The dinosaurs weren't in 3D but the particle effects were really well done, the water looks awesome, the leaves look like they are flying at you. To be honest I think the 3D is worth it.

I got the UK version a few days ago, and the cover art is nowhere near as good as this. Not only is it not embossed and glossy, but its also missing the the white highlights on the park entrance doors. The cover art image just looks as flat as can be, which is a shame seeing as its supposed to be cover art for a 3D movie. The movie itself and the 3D are AMAZING though!

From what I can tell - the original Blu Ray release was a lot bluer than the 3D transfer - I agree they have added a 'golden' tint to the whole film. In general I like it warmer, and the quality/lack of grain is mindblowing

May I know if the bundled 2D blu-ray disc on this packaging is the same as the one in the Ultimate Trilogy in terms of picture & sound quality? Or is it a completely remastered version of the 2011 blu-ray?

I was just disapointed that they didn't included that scene where Ellie grabs that pre-historic leave when they are all riding in the jeep. I remember that scene when I watched the movie in the theater back in 1993 but never saw that again in the DVD for exemple (even in the bonuses)...

I'm not too bothered about the release date, I saw the film originally in august in 1993 so for me it'll be just like going back to the cinema as a 9 year old boy :-D

Jurassic Park looks fantastic in HD 3D. I played the movie on my Playstation 3 because until recently the Playstation 4 didn`t support Blu Ray 3D. A couple of days ago a Blu Ray 3D update for PS4 went live...I updated my PS4..I watched Jurassic Park 3D on my PS4......the picture quality on my 3D tv was fantastic....Jurassic Park is the best 3D film I`ve watched and it was made even better because of the quality of the PS4`s Blu Ray disc drive....much better than the PS3`s.

Great review! I loved the theatrical version of JP3D, and commented to my friend as well how hard it will be to watch it in regular 2D again. The conversion had "punch" where it mattered, and was more subdued in other places that makes you feel naturally emmersed in the movie's environment rather than always hitting you over the head with the effect (a criticism I've had of other 3D movies). Curious to see how the Blu-Ray 3D version compares to theatrical experience.

I agree with everything you said. Got mine two days before the US release date! Highly recommend DVDWorldUSA :) What's your opinion on the brown filter they've put over the whole film? I understand they're trying to make it look as close to the original transfer as possible, but think they've gone overkill with the 3D release. If you watch the 3D documentary again, the 3D clips of the film they include are from the original blu ray transfer. It looks so much brighter and crisp to me.

Another change is that when the T-rex breaks out for the first time, there is usually a stage light in the background. (Oops!) But in 3D they edited it out!

Hi There, I know this is kind of a stupid question...but can the Jurassic Park Blu Ray 3D disc play on a 2D TV and on a regular blu ray player?....Cause I've heard things saying that the blu ray 3d discs can give you an option whether to view the film in 2D or 3D?...could you help me?

Not new titles, same only removed the gate weaving. And no cleaning up the picture just DNR picture lacking all the crisp details the 2D version has.

not true in this US region A release. Titles stabilised, new Universal logo at start and picture has been cleaned up its night and day
