Have been thinking of getting this, but I must say for that much money the fact the can does not screw is a dealbreaker. I should be able to grab it like a normal can without worrying about the storage compartment coming out. The stickers should’ve also been pre-applied on the vials and come with the liquid. Good video though!

it's pretty tight in the there with friction and suction. I don't think there's much risk of it just falling out. But the screen used appears to not have a screw option either

2:48 This isn’t snug enough for me given the price. Really was hoping for threaded retention of the can. The top of the hidden assembly almost looks like it has threads, but alas no. Really on the fence about this one, on one hand the quality appears excellent but this one little thing is bugging my OCD. I lost my deposit when Chronicle Collectibles went bankrupt during the production of their cryocan, so maybe I’m a little salty. Glad to see these ones completed and in the hands of collectors. Great video Marius, thanks for sharing!

@@ao8 if you're in the market for one I think this might be the one to get, IMO. And as far as the screw on, yes that would be nice. BUT, the one in the Universal archives does not have it so it appears that the one in the film did not have it. So for the sake of accuracy, it's probably the way to go, though a screw option would be nice, but apparently there is some more info here about why... awaiting information :)

To be honest, I doubt the original prop can screws off. I’m pretty sure they were pretending to screw it off. And sound effects added when it came off.

I purchased this when it was made by by Chronicle Collectibles, and it was called the Cry-Can a few years ago. I think they closed, and it never shipped. It's insane how this looks identical to theirs. It's still on the Sideshow website "sold out".

yes, unfortunately CC made a mess of that whole situation

Awesome review on this. I just got mines. But it's a 3D made version and much cheaper. It's all plastic. The real metal can cost way too much. I got mines for a good price. The only downside the cylinder does not lock into place. But overall looks good and works good. I'll be uploading a review on it next week.

@mariuscinematicuniverse Awesome movie prop for the budget. This also a functional storage compartment as well.

I was really thinking about getting this until I heard the price. It is the best canister replica that I’ve seen so far. I may still get it, do you recommend it?
@mariuscinematicuniverse10 ай бұрын
yes, can definitely recommend. I don't think you'll find a better one. Even a fan made one from rpf or something will probably not have the same finish on the can itself and I don't think it will be any cheaper.

To be honest it’s over priced

Inexcusable to not have it screw open. Complete waste of effort

the screen used one does not appear to have it either, but yes, it is a little odd.

It wasn't a real screw-thread in the movie! Acting me dears! Insane price for them not to stick labels on the vials!
@mariuscinematicuniverse6 ай бұрын
there's apparently a whole thing about all this, and I'm trying to find out the full story

This shouldn’t cost more than 100-150. $400 is insane of a price. Cool but extremely overpriced.
@mariuscinematicuniverse27 күн бұрын
It's the licensing and everything that brings up the price I think, and the limited issue. But yes, it would be nice if was commercially produced at scale with a lower price. But the market might be too small?
