In December 2023, it was announced that a video game titled Jurassic Park: Survival is in development. With a story set chronologically one day after the first movie, the installment follows a young InGen scientist who has been left behind on Isla Nublar. It is being developed by Saber Interactive and will feature action-adventure gameplay from a first-person perspective.

I just finished this on Switch, and watching it in VR makes so much more sense! I knew there were going to be compromises here and there, but theres so many little things that felt cheap and oddly static on the Switch that are a little more fully explained on the VR game. Like the use of the flashlight and the little electronic scanner. Overall a fun game as long as you dont expect too much from the story. My biggest disappointment was seeing a restaurant area and thinking it was going to be the raptors in the kitchen scene, but that never happened 😂

In two hours of play, I only came across one raptor with a single skin. No jungles, no walks with dino everywhere, just empty, repetitive corridors. They thought it would be nice to make a dino game without dinos. With one raptor. They've got ONE raptor! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

This game definitely has the atmosphere right, and the VR element certainly adds to the immersion but the graphics and the less mature setting does hamper its impact. I can't wait for JP survival which will hopefully look and feel much better in its setting and challenge like Alien Isolation. This game is at least a step in the right direction compared to Universal churning out park sim games.

1:55:00 ish mark. Psvr2 version here. Level 5:3 You are to return to Dr Wu's office with the key card after you find it. I've restarted the damn game twice and both times it allows me to collect the card, tells me to return to Wu's office... And I can't insert the key, it's like I don't even have it. Can you actually drop it or something? I REALLY don't wanna do this all over again 3 times...

I watched this whole thing over a course of 2 weeks and I gotta say I’m quite upset that Mia didn’t make it. After ALL of that. Literally they both survived the whole game and she dies when a way home finally arrives.. I was so sad y’all😩 But loved the play through!!

I only really have two complaints for this playthrough (more like nitpicks, but hey, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one). Otherwise it was a fine playthrough. 1) No real exploration and taking in the ambience. I don't fully understand it, but I'm sure it has something to do with not wanting to stand for more than a few hours than you'd be willing to stand for. Fair enough. That and it seems quite a few people can't handle VR too well for long periods of time. Dunno (nor care) if you're one of them, but I'm trying to be unbiased here. 2) There are a few instances of overly spastic movement during Audio Clips playing or exposition dumps. I don't get motion sick, but constant spastic movement can still hurt my eyes. And it's distracting. Like I typed earlier, nitpicks. End note: I wish I could get this game and play it. Looks like a lot of fun. Buuut, there are factors that keep me from doing so. I cannot afford a VR headset, have no real room for one and am handicapped. Can't stand for long unless I wanna fall over and possibly hurt myself. Just something I have to, unfortunately, pass on. Still a fun playthrough to watch though. You also get points for not typing 'Walkthrough' in the title when it's clearly not.

Those raptors are all from the first movie and Blue is from the next two. These raptors are completely different specimens. I'm just glad these three weren't as clever as Blue though, so i at least had a chance of winning by spamming the same methods of escape.
