it wasn't the meteor that killed them all the was the fallowing frost that did most of them in. the meteor killed only a "small area" of dinos. around 150 kilometers or 1000 feet and it fell in the yucatan peninsula in mexico. its called the "chicxulab crater". the frost, lack of food, and lack of water is ultimately what killed ALL of them. as the temperature lowered due to the ash and smoke in the air trees and other plants would die out, which then effected the herbivories and then when they were gone the carnivores were next to die out. it really is fascinating stuff.
