Very artistic, beautiful cake. I am glad you said how many hours (not including ingredients and baking) that it took you. When I quote a cake like this, people get upset if it's not under $60 which barely covers supplies (and may not even on this cake) and zero time and ability put in to it.

Zoe, do you pop this is the fridge on and off to keep it cold once you begin to,decorate? I always have issues with fondant weeping. Would the food coloring run off? I haven’t painted a cake before but would love to try this.

Amazing!! How far in advance do you think you could make this? 10 hours plus when working full time could be tough ... wondering if I could break that down over more days ...how long would the sponge be ok for? If I could bake and carve the shape one day, do mould shaping the next and covering each time then decorate over a few days?! X
