Namjoon is the middle child! He's sometimes in the hyung line and sometimes the maknae line (although officially the maknae line is just Tae, Jungkook and Jimin, yes, Joon is the unofficial fourth member lol)

To me Joon is both a hyung and a maknae. Joon was basically forced to grow up and mature very quickly as the leader of BTS which is why he feels so much like a hyung, but he is the middle child and he is only ONE year older than both Jimin and Tae. Hobi too, 94 line.

However I’m glad they brought it up because then they can’t be at fault if some ‘armies’ ignored their warnings and showed up. Thankfully, army listened to them though

Jail is a terrible analogy for their military service. You belittle the pride they take in serving well, and their many achievements. An obligation isn't the same as a punishment, unless a bad attitude deems it so. They won't come back as diminished men.They will take advantage of the opportunities for personal growth and return the better for it, from a place and people who are better for having had them.

@@ceci8556 jail is a place you cannot choose to leave and one doesn’t choose to go it is an obligation you must assume from an extenuating circumstance. Sounds like jail to me. 🤷🏾‍♂️ They are doing it for pride of nation but this is not a choice they made freely and willing. They have moved Heaven and earth and made history to get it over with as fast as possible. Doesn’t sound like the kind of thing one does when it’s a decision made willingly. You don’t have you like my analogy that’s fine but I won’t stop using it and it’s how I view conscription. Respect to them for serving their nation. But if not lauded and saddled with the responsibility of being the national pride and the possibility of jail. I’d bet good money they would’ve never enlisted and would’ve chosen to do other things. The military is the military they are currently cogs and a number in a system that will forget they even enlisted and served until they find a way to reap a financial benefit from reminding the Korean people that they have had the biggest stars within its ranks. No policy changes or institutional changes have been made or will be made from their service. You can be a fan and finds whole new respect for them, that’s great but do not deluded yourself about what military enlistment is in Korea or any other nation on this earth. Boo to the military industrial complex.

@@Jurnalist_ The Korean war technically never ended, rather, they're in a prolonged cease fire. That's why the US still has a military presence in S. Korea, and will as long as N. Korea's communist regime is a threat. Their leader is a madman who builds bombs and missiles, determined to be a nuclear force. He allies with Russia and China. Do you understand that S. Korea must maintain an active military force at all times? Conscription is necessary for peace to continue and I imagine the people understand that.
