I know no one will take this with any grain of salt but I’ll just say it anyway. Simon Kimberg has openly talked about being a Star Wars nerd and loves this franchise. He’s worked with Filoni on Rebels and created it with him. Filoni is now the CCO of Lucasfilm and so that’s probably how this came to be. I trust Simon to take on this franchise more than any other one personally and I think him doing all 3 is more preferred as a producer and writer and then give all 3 films to separate directors too.

I don't think that just because he's a big fan and made an animated TV-Y7 series he should be writing a trilogy for the biggest franchise in North America -- Goochman

@ I guess I agree and disagree with that. I totally see your point on the idea of them maybe looking for someone else better but I do disagree on the premise that just because he did one thing that worked before doesn’t mean he can’t do it again. All good, just wanted to add that point in. I know the fandom will have their way with the news and for the most part I’ll stay clear of those conversations lol.😅
