Today is Father's Day and my father has had major surgery recently. This made me think of all of the memories of he and I as I was growing up and how much things have changed in such a short time. I hold onto every moment with him a little tighter now because I don't know how many more moments I will have. I speak more now than I ever did because I want him to know all of the things I want to say to him and how great of a father he has been and still is. This song just makes me relive the times when I was a young girl and he could carry me on his shoulders and run with me, let me paint his nails, etc. He truly is my hero.. Always has been, always will be.

Kinda odd, I see this song as sad but also relaxed and at peace. Mostly right now it speaks to my heart because someone I care about is moving somewhat far and people always say they'll be back and or visit but they never do; and I don't wanna let him go, but I have to and it's not my choice to stop him. I really do hope and pray that he will return because it pains me to let him go, and without fighting; even though I'm fighting inside to not say something 😔
