Say Don't Go is written about Harry Styles. They dated for about 4-5 months from late 2012 to January 2013. This relationship was the 'most publicized relationship' of 2012 according to The Washington Post. During this time, both of them were dealing with a lot of anxiety and Taylor felt that the relationship was 'very fragile' and could end any moment. Ultimately during one of their vacations in the British Virgin Islands, they broke up after a massive fight and Taylor left all alone without Harry. After this she posted-'til' you put me down' referencing their viral photograph where he lifted her up at a club. Both of them had been cordial with one another and have written many songs but never blamed each other for the falling out.
