Context for the MV from a mythology nerd is, obviously the name of the MV Midas touch is related to king Midas an Ancient Greek myth of a king who turned anything to gold that he touched. The first solo shot of Julie on the heart bed also links with her solo shot for her rap where she’s in a heart made of crystals and in these scenes she’s representing Aphrodite the Greek goddess of love. In the solo shot of belle with the dress which looked like a peacock she is representing the goddess Hera, who was the queen of the gods the peacock is a symbol closely associated with Hera as she had a servant named Argus who was known to have hundreds of eyes all over his body, he was later killed by Hermes upon Zeus’s request and to honor him Hera placed his eyes into the eyes on a peacock feather so she is depicted with peacocks. Natty in her scene with the spider web is portraying Arachne who was a mortal woman, it was said that her skill of weaving was a gift from the gods but she resented the gods and boasted about her skill and challenged Athena claiming she was better at weaving than her, Athena and Arachne competed to see who was superior at weaving and enraged by her ego Athena turned Arachne into a spider to mock her. Lastly in haneuls solo shot with all the heads around her she’s is representative of Medusa. medusa ,much similarly to Arachne, was cursed by Athena to turn anyone who met her gaze to stone this is paralleled with the stone heads surrounding haneul in this scene as well as the way her hair is styled as it depicts Medusa’s hair which was made of snakes.

I must say this, Jeremiah’s commentary has improved tremendously. He’s going in it with depth. I wanted to make a scoreboard of how many times he would say “you know what i’m saying/mean”. The “fucking cool” was repeated way too many times, but maybe he’ll evolved that as well later on. He’s evolving very well as a reactor. As for Johnny, as usual, polished, chilled, objective, engaging, to the point, great! Wish you both health and prosperity.
