I think for me at this point, this age, it would have to be Creed's Bois du Portugal. I was thinking maybe Creed Royal Oud but I'm reserving that one for my coronation as King. I compared Tom Ford Oud Wood on one arm and Creed Royal Oud on the other, and Royal Oud came out the winner. But since its occasion appropriateness is kings coronation, I guess Oud Wood would suffice for a wedding.

Happy wedding week, Josephine! I am also getting married next weekend. 🤩🥰 I had such a hard time picking my fragrance, but ultimately I ended up going with Dusita Melodie de l’Amour, as gardenia is my favorite flower and this smells just like one of my favorite varieties of gardenia in my garden (part of this also may be sentimental, as my fiancé and I met doing musical theater 🎶). We had a fun time experimenting with smelling my fragrance with samples to figure out what he will wear. We ended up going with Amyris Homme (found out after he chose this that amyris is primarily from Jamaica, which is where we went on our first vacation together ☺️). Can’t wait to make some beautiful scent memories.🥰

I got married in November 2013 and I cannot remember what perfume I was wearing! It might have been something from Estee Lauder or Chanel. I wasn’t into perfume back then. If I want to renew my wedding vows on my 10th anniversary, I would like to wear Ani from Nishane. My husband would love that and I would love to smell that as well on him. And my second perfume would be Psychedelic Love from Initio. But if my wedding day/ annviersary was in Spring/ Summer time, I would wear Latin Lover from Carner Barcelona and I’m also considering Sweet Praline or Tres Chere from Mizensir and my second perfume would be Gabrielle from Chanel.

I have most of the fragrances on your list and really like Tom Ford Oud Wood and Amouage Reflection Man. If I were to create a list based on what I would suggest for a groom on his wedding day, a few others also come to mind: 1) YSL Tuxedo (or Moustache Eau de Parfum as an alternative) 2) Christian Dior Bois D'Argent 3) Mugler Over the Musk 4) Creed Original Santal or 5) Brioni Eau de Parfum 2021. Another nice and fresh formal fragance for the warmer months - Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza

@@jusderose Oh yes. I would like to sniff the Chanel Gardenia, too. But again, it is so hard/impossible to get a sample online! As with many other brands! But I am looking forward to try Memo Paris. I like that these niche brands have their discovery sets, or samples! I tried a Byredo like this. But no way to try Velvet Haze 🙄 However, Pulp was so... polarising, I would say. It was exactly like you described, I would also add that the ripe fruit note was a bit bordering with rotten fruit smell 😜. As the Pulp faded, it became surprisingly pleasant 😲
