I’m from Honduras and I had a good friend from Johannesburg in college. Through him and the World Cup in South Africa, I learned a lot about South Africa and I learned a lot more than what I knew. He introduced me some music from South Africa, from Arthur mafokate, to Mandoza, and a lot more South African music. I heard this song on a Trevor Noah special and I got blown away about what pro kid could do with music. I bet he’s making music with mandoza in heaven. Rest In Peace to two amazing artist!

I remember I stopped dead in my tracks and just listened and... LEVELS😎😎!!! I WAS HOOKED! The way he put his music together (authentic, relatable storytelling and effortless flow) and his penmanship just exposed me and laid the foundation for me to appreciate artists like the likes of Proverb, Tuks, Motswako, Jean Grae, Saroc, Common, Arlyssa Marie, Rapsody and more who fit in this bracket.
