Such a needed message right now. We all need to stop demonizing each other (unless there is an EXTREMELY good reason to) and just accept that because of our backgrounds and life experiences we see life differently. Yes exactly: the extremes are unhealthy but the rest of us are just trying to get through life as well and happily as possible. Let’s strive to understand and show a little kindness to one another 🙂
@LaughingMan442 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, what is considered "normal" now *is* extreme, and the people speaking out against it are demonized as being "extremist". People just wanting to be happy, just trying to get through life is how we got into this mess. Apathy is why we are heading towards a living hell, if we aren't there already.

I was a deacon at our church. I talked to the divorced "pastor" about backing some political issues out of the church. About the same time, my now ex-wife developed a problem. The "pastor" and some of his followers pushed her to divorce. Nice huh? He said I was a bad guy because I disagreed with him and pushed a bad agenda.
@Bluegill_Hill2 жыл бұрын
@Laughing Man, Apathy isn't why, corruption is why. If a cause is based on corruption and people are led into action, then they are marching with fools. Choose battles wisely.
@LaughingMan442 жыл бұрын
@@Bluegill_HillIt's people choosing to turn a blind eye, to ignore reality, choosing to do nothing, to let the mental patients be in charge of the asylum. If enough people had just said "no" to what's been happening in the West these last decades, it would have ended then and there. Too many people had the attitude of "live and let live" and "what people do in the privacy of their own home is their business" etc. We've become completely deracinated, there's no such thing as community in most places anymore.
@Bluegill_Hill2 жыл бұрын
@Laughing Man , yes I do understand and agree. I should have added that "apathy" is, and will be more so, used as a virtue signal for many that engage in misguided action. Coercion will shortly follow, with accusations of one being apathetic. But the roots of that tree might very well be corrupt, as many are. That's why I say apathy isn't the problem, corruption is. But yes, simultaneously your general observations appear to be valid, imo.

@@bobsosa5042 Sure, so where I came from, the church I came out of after some many years, is sort of like leaving the Amish, if you’re familiar with them. They teach and believe that they are the only ones who are right. So after so many years of that, and seeing through scripture that it was wrong, finding a church home can be difficult. You have all of these former teachings for years and now you’re removing them from your life, but it’s hard finding the path you feel you need to travel. I follow the Bible, but finding a church that lines up with what I feel the Bible teaches, the most correct church if you will. Hope that makes a little sense. No church has everything right. They’re made up of humans. I believe mostly all churches have good in them to some degree, but we all have to find what we feel is closest to the Bible

Otherwise you're gonna keep seeing these demons from the other side, and there's no need." 14:39 "You cannot frame the way they think and the way they approach things and the way they view things within your context, otherwise you guys are never gonna understand each other and you're never gonna get along, if you're something totally opposite." ^ This is the easiest way I've seen someone describe the concept of ethnocentrism without actually using the word.

Everything I see is through mine own eyes and perspective influences the way I interpret things. Culture, education, religion, politics and even the environment we grow up in, molds this perspective. It takes wisdom which comes with time and (for me personally) traumatizing/shocking situations, to rattle that perspective and change the way we see the world. When this happens, we realize there are multiple ways of interpreting situations and suddenly we're not so quick to judge anymore.
