My church choir sang this today, and sing it not often enough! I’m team #contralto (alto and first tenor) and have sung it with my church choir for 5 years and never could understand what the tenors/basses were saying. Finally found it today through searching Spotify and KZbin. We sing it faster than this, even though we’re as traditional Baptist as you can get at my church. I love hymns, even as a millennial, thanks to Bible Study Fellowship, and my mother singing around the house when I was growing up. I know what it means to be a woman of prayer. Having hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy since birth hinders me from doing a lot, but it doesn’t snuff out the fire I have for the Trinity and I do my best to live for Him and sing and play clarinet for Him because He’s too awesome to me.
