If a XR400 doesn't re-start after 2 kicks, just switch the ignition OFF (or kill switch off) pull in the decompressor and kick 4 times with the throttle held wide OPEN (but not pumping it) Then switch ignition back on and DONT touch the throttle and it will start first kick. 30 years experience of XT500 and XR400 talking here. Amazing how few people know this age old ritual for staring a flooded thumper.
@dmt6602Күн бұрын
Ever since I was a kid always dropping my oversized bikes the golden rule when flooded was to shut the gas off, hold it wide open, kick it a hand full of times and magically it would clear up, studder a few kicks and then fire right up like a charm. I don't know the science buy it worked on every 2 stroke and 4 stroke i had.

This was a rare find of really great quality documentary about riding motorbikes, I love the storytelling and editing, really great work, please make more of this 😎 And next time, bring some extra spares maybe in your big RV's 🤣 Throttle cables, clutch cables and a few random bolts, so we can see the final 1/3 of the plot 🙏🏻 Cheers and thank for all the work put into this.

f'in excellent movie, great story and f.yeah to riding to a race and riding home, i do that here in England on my 500 exc - it sucks on motorways and shit and especially with our crappy weather but it's fun as an adventure and it makes the event memorable even if it's harder, shame that all you guys couldn't finish the journey on 2 wheels but hey

Love that ! I guess Biltwell 100 is perfect race for a first offroad racing experience. I think that, with a bit more bike prep, you would have all gone home riding. Thumbs up, that was a good one. No lost, no wounded. Only great moments. Cheers !

Man, this was fun to watch and reminisce. I can’t believe in a sea of all those motorcycle enthusiasts someone couldn’t solder a throttle cable together. 🤷♂️ A throttle cable has got to be the most common interchangeable part other than a clutch lever. Unless it’s a vintage two stroke that has a split cable it’s a very simple fix. If you guys have any other recommendations like “on any Sunday“ please list them off!! I’m on a mission to watch every single motorcycle documentary or short film I can find. I can’t concentrate on anything productive yet. If anything has to do with motorcycles I’m 100% focused.
