I have the Taiga and this is a fair review of it. I love mine and wont be getting rid of it anytime soon but i wish more tube reviewers had emphasized what a PITA the ADSR is. Pittsburgh addressed this in their Taiga Keyboard and you can take your unit to Pittsburgh to get it modified, but this is no use to those of us that don't live in USA and already have the Taiga. I really like the way you have used the Taiga in the music for this video (more than most other videos). This makes me suspect that (as you openly stated) it is just not optimized for the type of music you like to make. Everyone says things about it being and East/West combination but i feel perhaps it is more West Coast first, if that make sense. Thanks for your review. D.

I was actually waiting for someone to compare the Delta CEP A with the Taiga. The form factor, price point and semi modular character put them in each others neighborhood while on the other hand they have pretty different design philosophies.

Actually I had the idea to make a video like this as a follow up! Also with the B2600 as shown in the final. But honestly it wouldn‘t be fair for the Taiga! We will bring some Delta content soon! We are already working on demos! So hold the line! ☎️🍀

That was a nice Kraftwerk beat you made at the intro. Really nice bleeps coming out of the Taiga. I would like to hear the Delta Cep A for comparison.

As much as I love my Radikal Technologies modules they have absolutely nothing in common with the Taiga, neither the 2600. You are comparing apples and oranges. The Taiga is another animal all together.

Was ist dein Lieblingssynthi?

I bought one of these, now I'm selling, in fact the same day I got it I knew it was going out the door ASAP Taiga could have been a great synth... its a door stop for me, sounds cheap and characterless, Combing the best of East and West coast designs and failing! it is so far from sounding analogue, the Osc sound like they've been dipped in a synthetic plastic wrap, super controlled harmonics. just dull, the filter has no character, essentially a tone control, LPG dynamics uff! and what the F is that turd of a delay about, really it is literally useless a waste of parts and space and money. FYI the "B" 2600 for the money is far a better choice and the Taiga is not a modern replacement for the 2600 hell no. there is an abundance of patch points and other features that make it standout, however most synths stand on the legs of two features VCO's and VCF's, Taiga needs crutches ;)
