I think Koba may have been teasing us with the songs that were released first, there are some real bangers on this album and some great surprises if you haven't heard all the songs yet.

The riffs and especially prog time signature changes really remind me of my favorite band Dream Theater! The intro riffs to Beleiving also!

'Tales of the Destinies' was the song you were talking about, and yes, this one has those proggy vibes as well, if maybe a bit more streamlined and less all over the place. Yes, Kobametal likely trolled us a little bit into thinking BM had lost the metal part. There's a few more heavy songs on the album, and they perfectly balance out the poppier tunes; I think you'll like it. Audio versions of all new tracks are online on the Babymetal channel here on KZbin, and Amuse seems to leave all reactions unblocked, for a change.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。[I hope BM will perform this song in USA. Their appearance at 3 festivals (in VA, KY and CA) in Sept / Oct has been fixed. I am sure they will go on 2023 USA tour in that timeframe]. Yes, many people thought new BABYMETAL was inclining to J-pop side and not heavy enough. They are now understanding that "Difference and Diversity" is another name of BABYMETAL. You should not hasten to be judgmental about them 😄. Regarding the contrast between English lyrics and Japanese lyrics, Su said "I understand that two languages express two-facedness of human being". [Source : magazine PMC vol.27 page 39] So the difference between almost natural voice and effected voice may be intended to emphasize the dichotomy. And the passage too fast to grasp "Double, double, toil and trouble" and "Fire burn and cauldron bubble" is by Moa. Su said in the article she loves the part by Moa in the 2nd verse. Nice reaction. Babymetal seems to have saved the heavy for the album release. Surprising many people. I knew there would be heavy banger on the album. But they went extra heavy on the rest of the album. and even in that they still surprised some of their biggest fans. Babymetals think outside the box has not gone away on the fourth album. Instead, they seemed to have found some new ways to apply the metal. Some might be asking mirror mirror where did the kawaii go? I say wait until they perform this. A lot of their kawaii was in the dance routine. I can picture them doing something very kawaii to this. In the end I'm sure they'll surprise us yet again. For Babymetal this is the way.

Great reaction! The more I hear that prog guitar riff the more I crave it. I also love the galloping drum beat during the verses, so cool. Related to your change of location: I'm needing to get some work done in my house soon too and I'm dreading trying to find a contractor that's halfway reliable.
