This video is great! I have several friends with disabilities and you cant begin to imagine what they go through because people are unaware of their disability or needs.

Go Sheila! This is great! I spent a couple months in a wheelchair, I know first hand how hard it can be. It was cute to boot! ;)

Wonderful video! Thank you Scott for [again] touching my life as you have with every person you have met. I've forwarded this video to as many people as I could think of. Great message presented by extraordinary people!

My dad was in a wheelchair from cerebral palsy, and growing up attached to him at all times gave me a healthy insight into what life is like for a person with disabilities, and it really makes me appreciate being able-bodied.

I liked this video, but I have a couple of suggestions, now that it's been completed: I think it would benefit greatly from complete subtitling so Deaf people could access this video. Also, it would benefit from having all the subtitles, Scene announcements, and PSA screens being put into one transcript, along with scene descriptions so Blind people could access this video, too.

Thank you Vlad. We agree. Unfortunately we didn't realize we were lacking until it was brought to our attention earlier today. Scott, the blind man in the video, is one of the people who helped plan the video, Keith, who is deaf, also helped, and neither of them realized it either. Ironically, that actually proves the point we're trying to make with the video. It's easy to let little things slip through the cracks, but those little things may be the difference between inclusion and exclusion for someone with a disability. We have plans to revamp the video and repost it so that nobody is excluded.

Vlad Drăculea You are welcome. This project is very near and dear to our hearts. Scott and I are passionate about disability awareness because we deal with these issues daily. When we post the new video I'll attach the link to this thread so you can see it.

+Sheila Kington A simple temporary suggestion: add the descriptive text & transcript into the KZbin description box. That way deafblind people with access to braille output can get the laughs too, albeit 10 seconds after the rest, but hey, that can be funny too ;)

People first, always. Instead of saying deaf people, try saying people who are hard of hearing, or people who are deaf. Same with saying blind people, try saying people who are blind, or visually impaired. We are people first, not our disabilites.

This is a video telling of how people with disabilities are so misunderstood by today's society! I am a person with a ling disease, using oxygen and needing to travel in a wheelchair.People either talk as if I were a baby or try to help me without asking first. If you see a person with a physical disability ASK if they need help. Just ASK and talk to us like you would anybody else because we are one of the anybody else! ASK first HOW you can help me.At times I do need and appreciate help with things that I cannot do! Don't just do things like bodily hold an elevator door open. I can very easily push the button to hold the elevator door open. Please, I, at times do need your help. Do NOT rob me of my independence, dignity and/or respect in the process. Evelyn Pinto
