Super neat! Thank you for sharing. I was told that wood chips need a lot of nitrogen to break down. Maybe the worm castings are sufficient? You must have pretty good water retention from that mulch. 😊

They break down slowly at first but more quickly each year. The first few years are the hardest

Egg is for sulfer not calcium. Think rotten egg smell.

You’re absolutely right. The calcium part is more of a long term benefit as we rebuild the soil year over year as it will slowly break down.
