Yeah, the referral used to be 15% down to 10%. I would guess because people were cheesing the system. And Meta reeled back a ton with promotional 25% and 20% monthly user specific codes.

The only thing putting me off is the in app purchases and a lot of the songs seem to already be on beat saber dlc

I think the in-app purchases will be for Ubisoft to add more licensed music in the future. The game is available to play offline so they can't remove any feature apart from multiplayer. The songs as someone who bought and owns pretty much every Beat Saber music pack, Just Dance is entirely different.

I don't trust ubi with their games. They always release a paid version, but does not include everything -- most of the contents are behind another paywall. I assume it will be the same as their previous Just Dance games where previous games will be left to rot and blocked from the servers once a "New Game Year+1" is released.

I think they will likely offer DLC or a subscription like in other Just Dance games. However, I highly doubt the VR version is gonna be a yearly release as VR is still not as mainstream as platforms like the Wii and Switch were. I think they'll either offer paid DLC/sub or completely abandon it :c

Great review! I also look forward to a updated review / tutorial on recording with meta build in microphone on quest 3 as in the ptc update channel in v71 meta mentions you can have volume changes with the built in mic between apps maybe this may change the quality now?

I've been wanting to make a video discussing the microphone improvements and adjustments that have been made with the recent firmware updates. I'll probably compare the internal Quest 2/3/3S mics. With external mic solutions with USB C headphones, adapters, or wireless solutions. I wouldn't count on this video being released anytime soon. I feel like this topic would be extremely niche, but it's a great reminder.

To answer that... have you even watched the intro that you were forced to have to actually see how cringe those avatars are? I come from original xbox days, pre-avatar, when PEOPLE WERE THEMSELVES AND DIDNT NEED A GIMMICKY AVATAR. People are losing themselves to what companies want them to be. All anyone wants to do is play games. Its almost like meta went full fledged fortnite disney on their avatar game. And thats not the VR audience at all.
