I had started going grey in my late 20’s . By my late thirties I was really salt and pepper on top and I have black hair. So it really showed . After about a week and a half it I could see the results. My hair now looks amazing. Leave it I. For about 5-8 minutes. I do basically what this guy did but I use it everyday. My hair is jet black again . I look like I’m in my 20’s again . I’ll be 42 in a week . Works great also I’m from India and we have amazing hair that can be dyed over and over without losing strength

I used the original formula .It washes out super quickly. 3 weeks tops..unless you don't ever wash your hair it could last longer. Maybe this is a better alternative.

As I mention in the video, I used the original Just For Men hair color (which I show on-screen) for 15+ years, before I switched to this Control GX formula. The original stuff worked well for me, but it is messier (you have to mix it) and definitely stained my skin. The stains usually wore off in a day or two, but I was self-conscious about meeting with people during that time. I would re-apply it every 3 weeks. This Control GX stuff is simply shampoo -- I use it just like any other shampoo, only every other or every 3rd day. It has not stained my skin, and it has only one shade: it darkens. It doesn't do brown or blond. I prefer the salt-and-pepper look it gives me.

It actually works well. Leave it on wet for a few minutes and rinse off. It is a gradual tone change-not a full blast dye job.

Yes, that's what I show (and discuss) in the video.

"I'll never be a silver fox, I'm more of a grey squirrel" had me laughing real hard there! Great joke and it's nice to see people harmlessly poke fun at themselves. That said, honestly you have great facial structure and I think with the right grooming techniques you could really "glow up", so to speak. You're not at all unattractive, but with a beard or stubble, and perhaps shaving your head and trying the bald look? I think you'd look absolutely badass. Thank you for the video too, Bob. Very informative!

Thanks! I came up with that joke as I was speaking... just an ad lib that seemed to fit. And I appreciate your grooming thoughts, so thanks for that that.

Perhaps I missed this ... Do the steps you used follow the product insert instructions; for example, 5 days followed by every other day, how long on your hair, etc...?? I embrace my grey hair, not gonna worry about it at this stage in my life.

Nope. I follow my own experience with this. It is what works for me.

Has contol gx went back to its original ingredients??
@BobKovacs4 ай бұрын
I don't know what the original ingredients were, so I can't answer your question. I've been using it for several years, and it has always seemed the same during that time.

Do you use conditioner afterwards, Bob?
@BobKovacs6 ай бұрын
No, I never use conditioner. However, Just For Men Control GX comes in two versions: with conditioner and without conditioner. If you look carefully at the box I hold up, it is the version that has conditioner. I use the two versions interchangeably, and I can not tell the difference between them. They both work/look/feel/smell exactly the same, as far as I can tell.

They put too much purple/blue pigment in the dye. His hair got a weird, blueish unnatural tint after he had color washed it a couple of times. A lot of people have a warm undertone in their hair, making your hair turn orange/red when you color, or color wash it. The manufacturers will use blue and purple pigment to cancel out the warm tones, not thinking about those who have zero, none, not any warm undertones in their hair, as they will turn out looking blue.

That's me in the video, and I just spent some time looking in the mirror. I do not see any hint of blue in my hair... it just looks blacker than it used to.

Looks very unnatural on him.

I'm the "him" in question, and I think it looks fine when I see myself in the mirror. You are entitled to your opinion, however.
