I look forward to your reviews of the XH42D. I just purchased one just like yours and so far I'm impressed but I am in no way an experienced operator. So I really want to know what an experienced operator says about it.

@@purplegangsters86 One item that is a little weird is there is a valve in the cooling system that has to be opened in order for the AC to actually get cold. Make sure they show you were this valve is. They did give me a set of filters for mine when I picked it up. Two of the filters were made by Kubota so they are easily sourced. The two hydraulic oil filters (Hydraulic Return Filter and Hydraulic Suction Filter) are from some aftermarket company with part numbers that I can't find on the internet. I asked them to source them for me so that when the time comes, I am assured that I am purchasing the correct ones. Over a month ago they responded to my email requesting this information and they said that they will get back with the information. So far, no response. So far, I am happy with it. I haven't put that many hours on mine XH42D but then again, I do not use this as part of my job. I use it on my land only. If I used this for my job, I would have purchased something else like a Kubota but because the price is lower than the big boys, I purchased the XH42D. It only makes sense financially. Items that I don't like about it: I wish the thumb control was on the stick and not on the floor. You cannot adjust the flowrate for the auxiliary connection. I don't actually need this very much but it would be nice to set a lower flow rate for the thumb and a higher rate for the brush cutter but I'm living with it. As I said, I can't justify the cost of say a Kubota.

@@purplegangsters86 I responded once to you but for some reason, it got deleted. One thing that I recommend is you have K&R point out to you is the cooling system valve that needs to be open in order for the A/C to cool the cab down. I had them run the A/C to ensure that it works before I took possession of the XD42H and low and behold, it wasn’t cooling because the valve was closed. I would never have guessed that. Disappointments: I wish the thumb control was on the stick and not on the floor. For me, it would allow a better control of the thumb. I also wish that it had the ability to set the auxiliary flow rate based on what attachment you are using. In other words, set the flow rate to a lower flow when using the thumb or a higher flow when using a brush cutter. In the case of the XD42H, you have to control the flow rate with your foot. I would also like to have a one way setting for the flow when using a brush cutter so that the brush cutter would run all the time without having to hold your foot on the pedal. Likes: It does do the work that I use it for. I do not use it for my work and if I did, I would buy a Kubota or something similar due to the issues I mentioned above. Since I only use it for personal stuff on my land, I purchased the XD42H because it is less expensive to buy. K&R did give me a set of filters to use when servicing the equipment. The fuel and oil filter were Kubota brands to it is easy to find a place to purchase them. The two hydraulic filters (Return and Suction Filter) were some aftermarket brands. I did a search on the internet for a place to purchase them and could not find a source. I did ask K&R about a month ago where they purchased them. They responded to my email and said that they will source them and get back with me. I still have not received a response. Overall, I am pleased with the XDH42H so far.

Im in the same boat as you hard to justify the extra $ 20-30 K for a big name when the 42 will only be for personal use not work. I did purchase some land and need the larger machine for taking down and digging out several trees, drainage and trenching 600 ft to bring power back to the property. I was completely sold on Kymron, but have seen a few videos now of guys showing problems, weird screw sizes, loose fittings and poor quality on some of the builds. I get it... Like most things in life, if you're happy with something you tell a couple of people.If you have problems with something you let lots of people know. Im really looking forward to this guys channel to do a review on the 42 ! Its been impossible to find any real world reviews on the 42. I would attribute that to It is a newer release from the company compared to their smaller models. Thanks again for your input !
